Hair Shaders (Currently trying to use "Blacksmith" shaders)

Hello!

Hair shaders seem to be few and far between. I'm currently trying to get the shader from The Blacksmith demo working properly, but we keep getting this black lines on the hair.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Or of a better solution for hair?
