    Hello Guys

I attempted to make a Realistic scene Inspired by the work of koooolalala in Unreal 4.
I was curious to see what can I do with Unity 5 and his new GI.

this is in work in progress so I will update this post with more Screenshots and videos

EDIT : I decided to make this thread my gallery cause I got a lot of things to show you and don't want to flood the forum :D

Awesome job, feels pretty much like a high end render.

    Does the precompute take long?

Would you show your lighting setup for the interior home scene? Lots of people(as myself) have trouble with interior scenes, and your lighting is great.

Wow, looks incredible! Really like the atmosphere... for just one second, at the beginning of the video, it gave me a Myst-like feeling. :)

Thanks for the setup, but I was more wondering how lights are placed and where to get a decent effect. :)

There has to be big business potential for arch visualization. This stuff looks as good as what pre-rendered visualizations looked like.

Have you thought about making a video series on how you make these scenes? They're gorgeous.

Definitely would be interested in some videos as well, these scenes are making me wonder why UT is getting such flack for U5, it seems to be working just as they want it to with you. Have you had many issues with Ynity creating this scenes out of curiosity?

    Brilliant stuff!

Thanks for sharing the builds with us! Do you plan to release parts as collection (or separate projects) in the Asset Store? :)

I love the Dark Temple, probably because I'm a big Zelda fan, but it simply looks amazing! :D Big like!

I just tried the post process plugin " Scion - Filmic Post Processing by @Aieth, really easy to give more deepness to your scene

It's nice but the flashing and specular blow outs are distracting.

The work you've done is great, it looks good for Unity.. UE4 and Koola really still does win by a metric boat load and that's not your fault.

So I just looked at the stuff Koola has done and you're right, hands down, unfortunately. What bugs me is I can't figure out why. For ages it seemed people were saying UE4 looked better because of the art, but theres clearly something more going on when comparing Jeydia and Koola's work. Is it better post effects? Does lightmass create more realistic GI? Is Koola's design just a hair more realistic? I just can't quite nail it down.

Of course it is, it's like 50% engine 50% artwork.. Kind of blurs in the line with shaders being art and tech, just crank Enlighten and buy tons of post from the asset store. Pretty much anything is better than what you get out the box.. Change the dynamic lighting as well (ggx (probably something like alloy), in Unity it's well out.

If you look at some of Koola's vidz they are real time, still looks 10,000 times better than Unity. Also make sure you do proper color grading etc.

It won't be like for like, but it'll be better than what you get out of Unity stock by FAR>!
