Been noticing a lot of people asking really newbie ish questions. Can we get a big or giant IF YOU'RE NEW, CLICK HERE BEFORE POSTING button next to ANNOUNCEMENTS that leads to the learn page? Sure it'll be beneficial.

People with less than 10 posts or so should now be allowed to create new topics but only reply here even if it sounds too radical. Most of em are questions in wrong place or harmless/on purpose troll bait kinda posts.

I think a welcome/beginner forum would be in good order. Too much sniping and drive-by shootings. Newcomers need a safe welcoming place.

I believe this is in the works, I think one of the Unity people mentioned it in another thread.

    /agree

We all were newbs at some point in some domain.

I've been guilty of impatience with "noobish" questions but I am not proud of it.

I would suggest that "Please Click to Learn Here" would suffice.
You know, leave out the "die a horrible death" part?

Now, I would grant an exception to responses to "How do I / Can I make an MMO" questions.
Those you can shoot down at will! "Weapons free..." :p

    Cheers

    Or instead of
    "Please Click Here, or Die"

    We could put
"Click here to learn how to make a Zombie MMORPGFPSRTS"

Then is redirects them to a page where "Never Gonna Give You Up" is playing in the background and a big banner saying "YOU GOTTA LEARN THE BASICS!" and promptly shows the Learn Section/Tutorials/Etc.

I think a beginners forum will have the same effect to filter the usual questions. Which I've mentioned in another thread is coming.
