Find.GameObject

Is this what I use to find an object besides the parent of the script?
How would I change the text using this of the 3D text component?

This would really help my scripting experience so please help.

 

Find is used to find other gameobjects, then if you want a component you use GetComponent.... It's all in the unity docs with examples....
