Here is a project I've been working on for probably about two months now.

It's an Android application/tool to build 2d dungeons primarily for table top games such as Dungeons Dragons, GURPS or Hero System (or any square based table top game).
Without any more hub bub, here's the Play store link:

So it's been a number of months and I figured that I'd update everyone that read this post (read: no one).

It's been out for ~7 months and I can say that I've been pleasantly surprised with the results. Admittedly, I never expected to sell more than 10 copies in my lifetime.

I've had a pretty consistent increase; every other month has sales higher than the previous month. (this is a lifetime view). This is with zero advertising. (I did run an ad campaign for two and a half days, though. Zero clicks after 12k views, i think).

Unfortunately, I can see why so many companies like EA throw rating their game in your face.

After 80 sales I have a mere 5 ratings. 6% of people have rated a $3.99 app. To me, this is mind blowing but I guess it should be expected. They don't get anything for rating an app outside of vindication for dissatisfaction.

I've released 14 updates (some of them minor, others not) and I'm working on my 15th before looking into releasing it for iPads. The 15th update will let users use their own textures for tiles in the app. Speaking of updates, I never thought so many people would be so far behind on updating their apps!

Hopefully some other hobbyist would find this interesting. I know I always love postmortems.

seems like the intended market would be smallish.

Did you see any notable increases when releasing on different platforms, or similar... did you do any form of advertising at all? (posting on forums etc)

Ill probably do a post mortem on my own game a few months down the line... hopefully it sees continued download growth!

Sorry if I wasn't very clear the first time through; I've only released on the Play Store right now. I do plan on looking into iPads soonish though.
