Drag assets into scene?

For some reason i am unable to the drag my assets into the scene and i have to do so using the hierachy panel and that is a pain cause i constantly have to reset the position of the newly added asset.

 

Make sure you're dragging into the Scene view and not the Game view.

I doubt that's your issue, but it may also help to have a ground so the assets have somewhere to be placed.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project to see if it works there. If still not, then something in unity might be messed and need a reinstall.

 

For some reason it works now.
