[v1.04 approved] Shuriken Salvo particle effects library

    Shuriken Salvo is a Shuriken particle effects library which contains classic elements (fire, ice, lightning, wind, holy and shadow), shuriken (literally, in order to justify the asset title), meteorite and missiles. These effects are provided in 3 variants: Homing, swarm and single projectile. Homing effect allows dynamic missile guidance behavior. Swarm effect is simply placed right on the target's position and once activated, beams of respective element rains afar on the target. The beams are traveling spirally and leaving trails behind.

    If you know basic usage of Shuriken particle system, the number of beams, launching distance, length, spiral range of trails are all easily adjustable. Also in case you want to control each single beam directly, there is the "single" version of each "swarm" effect.

    Do you have also a webplayer demo? And can you tell us, how much it will cost?

    Thank you. This asset has been submitted for review. If there is no rejection for errors, it should be on shelves on next Monday. The price is $10. As soon as this asset is accepted, we will apply 50% discount promotion which we do not know how long this will take because this again requires Asset Store admin's review and dependent on their promotion schedule. If you are not in a hurry and want to enjoy the discount, you can wait a bit longer (maybe 1 month, but we really can't tell) when this asset gets promoted.

    We have prepared all the executable demos for most major non-console platforms (Windows, Linux, Android) except iOS because it requires a Mac machine which we do not have one. To not spoil the fun, please wait until this asset is on shelves. The links are in the asset item description page.

    Webplayer is deprecated and we do not have any webspace to host the WebGL because it is quite large unless zipped, but that would defeat its own purpose for online playing.

    Hi guys. Shuriken Salvo first release is finally accepted. Also I have submitted application for 50% discount sale but I do not know when it will be accepted. If you think it is worth $10 and buy it now we will deeply appreciate.

    Finally Shuriken Salvo v1.03 is nearly ready. Few more testing and video demo recording need to be done before submission. If you haven't bought it yet, you don't need to rush to Asset Store now, there will be no price increase. On the contrary, we will apply a 1-week -30% personal sale in compensation for being unable to submit this asset for the last official April sale. But this will be our very first time of applying personal sale, please don't be upset if it's not discounted when the update is approved.

    V1.03 isn't just for compatibility with Unity 5.6, it takes advantage of the new Custom Data module for more sophisticated rendering result, as well as Noise and Lights modules. It also comes with mobile-optimized variants.

    We would like you guys to try out the new public demo for Windows and Android and give us feedback, whether in this thread or via private message/email.

    In the Windows demo, smoke particles in Lightning 2, Wind 2, Meteorite and Missile 2 react to sun direction and intensity which can be adjusted by moving the sun slider. Also shift+mouse-left can change camera elevation. It involves a revised shader which I have shared in the Shaders forum.

    In the Android demo, "pinch 2" means touching 2 fingers on your screen and spread (zoom in) or pinch (zoom out); "pinch 3" requires 3 fingers and you spread or pinch the 2 farthest fingers.

    @ifurkend In the "default scene homing" there is a sphere being hit by homing particles and a hit counter at the top with "Particle Collision Count" script attached, but the hit counter never changes value.

    edit: So I fixed this by enabling Collision on the particle system.

    I just downloaded this package for a URP project, but I'm unable to get it working for URP. It requires custom shaders, so the materials cannot be automatically updated. Very disappointed, there was no indication (I looked) prior to purchasing what render pipeline was supported.
