Downfall of the State [Kickstarter]

Downfall of the State is an upcoming immersive shooter that has set the precedent for all future open world games.

I announced a game called 'Downfall of the State' back in October 2015 that created somewhat of a storm on the Steam Greenlight platform and was Greenlit within a week. Since then the open world, strategic shooter transformed into a small studio production as opposed to a solo effort and attracted freelance work from highly esteemed members of the gaming industry. As we are such a small studio without some wizardry PR scheme or an infinite pool of funds we ventured into the world of crowdfunding (very recently in fact) and have gained some traction but once again, due to the lack of that wizardry PR scheme the 'storm' and buzz that surrounded the game back in October has worn off somewhat.

The game's premise is that Middle-Eastern governments have collapsed and in the wake of their demise, three factions step out from the breach with some very conflicting goals - a fairly common story line I suppose - however, the grand scale open world nature of the game with the macrocosmic continental troop management to the microcosmic squad leading combined with the incredibly immersive and hardcore first person experience transforms the game itself into such a unique game that everybody deserves to play.

 

Very nice looking game. What is that smudge in some scenes ? It seems like some dirt of water on top of the screen very distracting. Is there a wipe button like metro game or something

 

In some of the harsher, northern provinces where the weather is primarily snowy the player will suffer from certain distractions such as ice on goggles etc. if the player hasn't equipped his operative sufficiently. It looks pretty ugly with the YouTube compression but it seems much more refined whilst playing the game itself.
