Does the uGUI source work with versions other than 4.6?

    So I see that Unity has their UI source code on BitBucket, available to compile and modify ourselves: https://bitbucket.org/Unity-Technologies/ui

    Has anyone tried compiling and using this on an older release, such as 4.3? For those that may be wondering, the consoles are currently running on the 4.3 branch of Unity, and I'm just curious if uGUI could be used there instead of having to roll one or use one of the packages from the asset store.
