Does scaling affect illumination?

    I have read that scaling affects physics but I have not read that scaling affects lighting.



    On the right side you can see a model that I re-scaled to 0.01 in order to keep real-world-aspects.
    You can see a strange lighting.
    When I set the scale to 1.0, the model's lighting behaves as expected.
    Does the scaling really affect the lighting so much or is there something going on that I am not aware of?

    It does, because resolution is in texels per world unit, so you need to have proper resolution for the size of your scene.

    Here you have example with low baked resolution for 4 cubes scaled to different sizes:
    10x 5x 1x 0.5x
