    Thanks. It`s about "A couple of heroes who gonna Save the World", as usual. Well, there are some puzzle elements too. Not Just rpg or shooter. )) I`ll show what I mean later.

    That's a cool artstyle! But I agree with Fishmen92 the fog needs to be turned down a little imo.

    I like the stylized look of the characters. Reminds me a bit of Borderlands.

    Style reminds me alot of Fusion Fall, which was a pretty nice game (until it shutdown :( ).
    Hopefully it'll be a nice game.

    It looks very cool, I just wanted to ask if it's supposed to be high vignette like that?
    If not, I'd suggest you to tone it down a little bit :)

    No. It is pretty dark scene actually, with low light intensity at some areas. Do you like it or not? :)

    Do you like colors or not? :)

    Yeah, i think its pretty cool looking. The artsy filter effects add to the game style IMO.

    It just looks so cluttered, though.

    Oh, and that is how screentone shader looks like in this game. It is kinda, you know, shadows highlighted by gray dots. So what do you think?

    When marketing this, and I'm not expert, but when marketing this...I think that you need to have a better explanation than 'it's about a couple of heroes that want to save the world', because it gives off this impression at first glance like 'ooo...strange universe...what's going on'.

    I think talk about the gameplay, instead of 'what's it about' think 'what do you do?'.

    astracat111 good thought. Well here it is. Not much of a gameplay though. Just walking around.

    Battle demonstration would be next but sometime in the future.




    Oh and quality of the video is sucks. And no sound. :)

    Partially of course. I am planning to add puzzles, story, characters. So yeah adventure elements are definitely have place.

    Here is the battle demo as promised. It is not so obvious from the way it looks like but this is a tactical battle. Actually you are gonna use the tactical pause alot if you want to defeat this guy fast. UI is not developed yet.

    If you add more saturation to your character like this, then add some shadows it'll look more beautiful. Your character is the focal point in each one of these shots, to bring that out you might want to have brighter colors so that the eyes are drawn to the character:



    Since it's an anime styled game, even that might not be enough. There are also certain colors depending on the style that you want more saturated while others you want less saturated. What I go by these days after years of being very stupid with it is the two colors baby blue + vermilion orange. You basically have this rule where the only two colors that can be really saturated are orange and baby blue and you work around that. Blue is cold while Yellow/Orange/Red, it's opposite, is warm.

    You start with a cold scene using all blues then you warm it up using yellow/orange/red.

    Here's the scene again with about 10% of an orange overlay added onto the character. The red exit sign since it's lit would also be brightly saturated. If something is emitting light, it would have a very strong saturation and fade off. I also saturated the hair more (because hey, it's anime).

    The things that are emitting light in your scene you would have colored very saturated. If you then add a slight bloom screen effect it's going to blend all of that together.

    This all shouldn't be too hard to implement since all it would mean is saturating the characters more to stand out from the scenes, since your scenes are already very desaturated.

    @Enixoid_v2 Your design is great, but still think of a scene's lighting. Think of what's lighting up your scene. Warm colors like yellow/orange/red emit from the lighting sources, while the areas where there are shadows might be on the opposite end of the color wheel, like blues.

    You could try color grading, but it seems like you could instead take all the reds in your scene and brighten them up.
