Any Asset Bundle Training

    Hello,

    Does anyone know where I can find Asset Bundles training resources?

    Yeah, I was on the session @Adam Buckner , however @Mike Geig didn't have a link to the asset bundle sample which demonstrated some more advanced uses of Asset bundles for providing an extensible asset framework (allowing for DLC, etc)
    Any chance someone can find it, I've looked but have been unsuccessful so far locating it.

    What happened to the live session? It's been removed from the live session archive list and the direct link gives a 403 error..

    There were a couple errors in there. We've taken it down to make some fixes. Hopefully will be back ASAP.

    We will be presenting new Asset Bundle training soon. Have you checked the most recent documentation pages in the manual? http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/AssetBundlesIntro.html There is a lot of good detail there. If you get stuck on a snag, create a new post and grab my attention with @adambuckner

    While the manual is nice and informative, having a live series on this would help immensely. Just seeing someone go through the entire process for a simple level would work wonders for me. I am sad I missed the original one.

    Hey @Adam Buckner, I've been looking at the AssetBundles example project and messing around with it. It seems to work in the example, but I just want to confirm something. If I have a prefab which has references to sprites set in a HD AssetBundle Variant, this reference will automatically be updated to the SD Variant if that bundle is loaded instead? As I've said, I've tried this in the example and it seems to work, but just want to double check in case I'm missing something behind the scenes.

    Iirc, as long as the names and architectures match, if the object is the correct type, it should work when using the asset bundle manager.
