    Let's create a place to collect all the best and awesome content made in Unity.

    The rule is simple - you point to an app made with Unity (games and not games) and explain why it should be in the list. And I put it to the sticky top post. Then the Business and the Marketing guys come and pick up the projects they like to promote, port to other platforms, use at showcases, etc.

    So if you know any Unity content that is
    • Graphically impressive and/or
    • Offers unique gameplay and/or
    • Is revolutionary for an industry.
    Than please post about it, give a link to it and it'll be put to the head post if we like it ;-)

    As easy as this!

    Graphically impressive games
    • Interstellar Marines, will be available on PlayStation 3, Windows, Mac OS X, Xbox 360
    • Rochard, will be available on PS3
    • Warsoup. will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, Windows, Mac
    • FEIST, will be available on Mac, PC

    Hi, OK, I'll give this a shot to start the ball rolling...

    My new game, titled 'Pocket Jets (AR)' makes innovative/unique use of tracker-free AR, whilst retaining a high level of gameplay (quite a few AR games suffer in terms of gameplay as the AR sometimes makes playing the game awkward rather than better, IMO).

    The game is for 4th Gen iOS devices (iPhone4 and iPodTouch4G) and as of today, also available for iPad2 - and it really enhances the game on the larger screen with the AR though the larger 'window'...

    Brief Description:
    With POCKET JETS (AR) you take full 360 degree flight-control over a futuristic 'Gyro-Jet' as you steer it through the REAL-WORLD environment surrounding YOU! Pocket Jets uses the gyroscope in your device to convincingly and smoothly blend 3D graphics and sound with your camera’s view to deliver a truly immersive experience.

    Fly your Jet over YOUR home, around YOUR garden, or in YOUR living room, wherever you are, it's like you are flying a remote-controlled plane, only bigger and louder.

    But that's not all... because you are not alone in the skies! That's OK though, your Jet is equipped with advanced weaponry.

    Wherever you are, inside or out, POCKET JETS (AR) brings the action to you in a unique experience that is only possible with handheld devices.

    USP(s):
    • Extends gameplay into real-speace;
    • Player has to engage in 2nd person 3D-Dogfight, whilst also tracking their jet, encourages user movement;

    Interstellar marines.

    Reason?

    AWESOME.

    FREE. (At least a good 3-4 hours of free game-play if your into FPS).

    ----

    Damn you Joachim Ante! Sticking 'Zero Point' in front of your recommendation so i don't recognize as I skim :(

    Side note - be nice to note next to titles if they have free content/trial or are paid only.

    Wow that is some quality stuff! Nice to see things with such high production value being done with Unity.

    What worries me abit though is that I have noticed that most games and demos has really bad antialiasing even though it is a high production value. What is the reason for this and if it is on the engine side is it something Unity is adressing? From my perspective you can add as much high end graphical features and bling you want but if there is crawling edges everywhere the overall impression will still suffer greatly.

    I pushed some stuff to the top. However the most graphically impressive titles are under the "coming soon" flag. Any released games that blow your mind with stunning graphics?

    Not released either, but just stumbled over a thread on polycount.com. Seems amazingly impressive to me :eek:
    Apparently called Crasher - but couldn't find any more info about it :/

    actually Crasher was released a while ago (on steam) and sadly didn't work all that well... A multiplayer-only game with empty servers do not attract a lot of people.

    Wow, some really great work on Crashers by the way!!

    The Creepy Substitute Teacher. W.I.P

    - 2 version of the CST prototype build are available to play. This is not a representation of the final version. Although I wanted to get some basic functionality and mechanics in place before releasing anything. Since CST will be a very “Goal” oriented game ,”Directing” the Kids to the school entrance and getting Unity to recognize this, was top order. Having accomplished this I plan to continue expanding on the various goals and tasks that Murphy s going to have to accomplish to earn his hard earned paycheck. Hopefully avoiding any lawsuits!
    The Browser version is still W.I.P and has a hefty load time at the moment. So just bare with me on this.. thanks!

    - I also released a compressed version as a desktop download. Click on the link and save the “Creepy.rar” file to your desktop.

    Thanks!

    Hey Filto,

    If you use forward rendering, Unity supports MSAA so you can have good AA.
    But with deferred rendering, there is no such thing as MSAA you can use, in Rochard there is a luminance blur filter (which is available in Unity) applied to soften the sharpness where there is a high contrast (which usually happens to be where the aliasing artifacts are the most prominent) but it does not solve everything unfortunately.
    There are other techniques you can use at a post processing step which gives a better result, but depending on your project and your platform, you have to pick cost vs. quality :)

    Sorry guys, I'd consider only stuff like Crasher for the top post... For now I'd stick to really mind blowing titles, especially that impress graphically. Today. For the given platform.

    Ok i just thought i would give a try and look Crasher gallery....i cant describe with words what an amazing art is there.
    This are by FAR most amazing hand painted textures as well as assets in general. This is best looking art in Unity games so far.

    I've just completed my first game and it was done without a hitch for iOS and Android simultaneously. Just proves that Unity does exactly what it says.

    iTune: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/highway-hog/id437818441?mt=8&uo=4
    Android Market: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.longfog.highwayhog

    The game does not feature complex graphics and only has one simple concept: Guide the hedgehog safely across the road.
    But due to it being a video game people seem to complicate things and get blinded to the obvious solutions. It's a nice little experiment

    I'll say this, it's not a game of chance. Go figure it out.

    And if any of your hedgehogs do perish, ease your conscience by uploading them to the big hedgehog graveyard on the web.

    I still don't know a single fully convincing Unity game yet.

    But i also recently bought my first Unity game: Desktop Dungeons, which looks very promising from the game design. I just hope that it won't be bloated and comes without the strange hickups some Unity games sometimes end up with.

    @taumel:

    Shadow Gun, Interstellar Marines, Battlestar Galactica, Max and the Magic Marker, Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood, BeGone, Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online, Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta and Need For Speed World are all very good games.

    Are they not convincing enough?

    Nope, not really. All these games are nice in some aspects but aren't in others. Battlestar Galactica for instance looks quite nice but it sucks so much on the gamedesign, ... they aren't just fully convincing. Splume was the best Unity game in my opinion for a very long time, we already talked about this in other threads, but i think Desktop Dungeons is the first killer game done in Unity, at least one that i'm aware of - i still don't know if Unify was done in Unity. But then again this is my opinion and i'm aware of that i'm quite hard to please in this respect.

    Games i bought and enjoyed this year: The Dream Machine, The Frozenbyte Bundle (Shadowgrounds Survivors), Forget.Me.Not, Sword&Sworcery, Portal 2, Puzzle Agent (at least partly), DinoRubbish Megabundle (for Dino Run). Looking forward to Torchlight 2, Bastion, Rage, Desktop Dungeons, Voxatron, The Witness, FEZ, Miegakure and ?s.

    I've got more informations about Crasher. I've send an email to Michael Vicente. He told me that the company got an economic dismissal. Sadly but true, the game Crasher is dead! :(
