Flyimal is a motion based game where players control flying animals using their body movements. Players assume the role of a flying animal in a race through all kinds of different environments: jungles, deserts, mountain lakes and more. Developed for a new Asian game console launching in 2011, Flyimal should be a fun diversion from real animals, you know, the ones without wings.
The controls are simple. Flapping your arms speeds you up and leaning left and right steers you in the desired direction. Also, leaning forwards and backwards allows you to fly up or down. All of this combine with the goals of collecting all the rings for speed boosts, completing three laps and scoring first place.
Mixamo has a strong relationship with Unity Technologies, developers of the Unity3D game engine. Thanks to them and their powerful game engine we’ve been able to achieve all this and more. Our growing partnership can only lead to bigger and better things between the two of us. Flyimal may just be the beginning!
Check out the action in our first sneak peek video:
Flyimal is an interesting venture into a the infancy of motion gaming. Only recently has this control style been developed and already it’s blooming. Mixamo drive and quality powered by Unity3D tech should lead to a very interesting and fun game. Step aside Gran Turismo, you needs some wings on those cars!
Sounds like an awesome erector spinae exercise!
