Here is a web player preview of a flame sword. The intention is to make a set of elemental fantasy swords in a pack, with particle animations that can be transfered from one weapon to another as desired.

Elements would include - Fire, Ice, Lightning, and acid.

Thank you Feyhu. The first pack will be 4 swords with 4 interchangeable particle effects. I plan to sell it through the asset store. As far as price goes, I'm undecided. On other 3D sites I've seen a single sword model sell for $20 - 50 bucks. Mind you some of them are crazy high poly props.

All these swords are game ready, aprox 500 - 700 triangles with hand painted 2048 dif / spec and normal maps.

4 swords, 4 particle effects - I'm thinking $20 bucks for the pack, any suggestions / opinions on that ?

i think 20 is a fair price for those. Interested in offering the sword model alone for free :) Just throwing that out there :)

Looks great! Maybe a editor wireframe of the swords? The fire looks kind of highpoly...

Thanks for replying... What I meant was how many particles in the effects? like the emissions... Or a wireframe picture of them would also work.

Oh, lol. The fire is probably the heaviest, it's spawning a couple hundred particles. But it could be turned down if needed and still look acceptable. You can always repeat the texture UV and drop the emission by half for performance.

I tested on a laptop, with built in ATI 4200 HD ( 256 meg ) and they all ran fine. The swords are meant to be for a main character, not an army, I'm sure an army of flame sword wielding thugs would probably kill any machine :)
