    I Released a small FREE tool in preparation for the next update...I believe i will help quicken production times. Enjoy
    Small Editor Script.
    Used to tag, name, and assign weight, and add/remove components to mass objects in just one click.
    Script runs from parent root to all children in hierarchy.
    Tag is set by user.
    Weight is random and in between a range the user sets.
    Naming adds the index of an object to its name (box becomes box5).

    FREE HERE

    0.Once imported the tool is located under your new "ViralTools" menu
    1.Root Name tag are of course case sensitive (tools highlights rootNode once it is found)*
    2.Make sure all object you want to edit are all children of the rootNode*
    3.Children of an object who is a child of the rootNode will also be effected*
    4.Mass weight only works on rigid-bodies (not all objects need a rigidbody as the tool checks the object first before operating)*
    5."Run Mass" actually executes the tool..click it after you set your options

    Hi,
    i have a question regarding the Fpx Zero Scripts: On your website the lates version is from March 2011. Is that the latest available version or am i overlooking something?

    I saw ur FPS starter pack and i just loved it! It's really a nice work! So i wanted to use it (i'm a newbie ). I downloaded it and add it to my Unity project. You said that scripts can be used separately.
    Can u please just explain me how to use them? Because i want to use recoil script and weapon changing sript.
    Also, i wanted to ask about animations with weapons (reloading,...). Did u make an animation for the caracter and an other for the gun or it's only one animation (character and gun are only one model). ?

    It's damn epic man ! Love your package ! :cool:

    But I have some problems about vehicle script :

    What am I supposed to put in the variable "exit" and "left door" ?

    Also, is it possible to replace the variable "player" to authorize all characters with the Tag "Player" (instead of only 1 character) ?

    recoil is found in the gunshoot script and requires a camera with mouse look.
    the weapon select is less restricted, but it sends messages to the guns......to raygunshoot script..

    no animations yet. trying to learn a little bit about animating and get them in...in a later update or add on

    Upon trying the demo, I found that the controls were very awkward. Not in that the controls were placed weirdly or anything, but the movement is really weird. Also, the distance you can jump is extremely little. You barely lift off the ground! And in the solo mode (or at least, I THINK the solo mode) you have to jump to go up the steps to the place with the guns, even though they appear that they have little height. What's up with that?

    OK, sorry to have such a short question, but, does this work with Unity 3.4.2?
    I'm downloading 3.4.2 right now, and this is kind of why I started on it.I have little experience with Unity, so I thought this would make a nice base.

    Yeah, I'm a developing newbie. :p

    The current build that you have downloaded is an older build with unity 3.0, you may be able to upgrade and fix simple compile errors and obsoletes.

    Is the Package available with all the networking sorted. I'm still figuring out a few things it looks like you have done. I downloaded the one on your page but it seemed like an old set, with nothing I needed.

    No the project is live, but the 2.0 release might be the last as i have begun work on FPX.Alpha(c# based fps engine). I have been sitting on it as i needed to write documentation, and figure out pricing schemes. There will be a free version as always. and either one or two paid versions....You can email me for questions or proposals.

    Hey Guys since i found a new team member FPX.Zero1.5 has been scrapped we are just going to move on to FPX.Zero 2.0
    Here is a video of what we have so far. HERE
    with the new team mate the engine will be massive and will feature all aspects you would expect from a AAA fps game/engine. i will try and give regular updates.

    This is the second update to FPX.Zero 2.0
    This update features many new aspects, customization , Systems along with performance improvements more user friendliness. We plan to make the kit as user friendly customization as possible. You can tune it i every aspect with no need of code.
    -ADS system + Attachments (pointer flashlight)
    -Gun Weight Factors
    -Gun bobbing Positioning System
    -Gun Pickup Drop System
    -Revamped Gun Recoil Spread
    -Door System (make any type of door with no animations)
    -Better HUD integration
    -Audio Pausing while in pause mode resume after
    -Better Cross-hair
    -Better Animation control (package can use a few more animations)
    -Player Push Objects

    in this video only a reload animation is being used. all other aspects are script driven

    they were given to me by my partner as my 3d skills are terrible. lol.

    lol your right i just took a look at it, you would think that after years of playing fps games i would have just known. well everything right now was just quickly done to show off various aspects of the kit. we have e few modules to incorporate via code. once these are all set up we will polish it all up

    Yes, i still have the code, with placeholder gameobjects ( ex. cubes) that i beta tested with another user last month. at this point i am not sure if i will offer that as a separate free package, or combine it with 2.0. But i will launch it same day as 2.0 comes out as a stand alone project, but possibly integrated into 2.0 source code. i have a few systems left documentation. there are still a few option me and my partner are looking into including.

    i will have a video soon with new guns that will come with the package. Explosion package found on my web is included, melee, camera run sway, and a Humvee which i will demonstrate the video following will be included in the package.
    I have also expanded the animation system so you can use a number of animations for all the gun events. but once again you can stick to the scripting and just use a reload animation as i have in the last video.

    We also decided in video tutorials on how to properly use the package, to make it all super user friendly

    Some awesome work your doing here man and great work sharing it with everyone I love it. Any chance of updating the characters walking sounds, aka so when you walk on different materials or types of things the sounds can change. EXAMPLE: walking on wood plays footsteps sound like walking on wood. Then you start walking on some metal and it plays some different metal sounding footsteps?

    Good Question, the package actually already has that feature. With such an expansive project it is hard to demo and show everything in these update videos. But yes that is an already included feature it applies to weapons when you hit different surfaces. Also to mention is the fact that the package allows such customization that not all features have or need to be used for it to work.

    About half way from pro being complete(50%), free is 100% done, and lite is nearly 80% done. Me and my partner would like to give the community a thank you for supporting this project. I will give details on this via here 7 possibly a YouTube commentary as soon as possible.
