Still hungry for more Unity goodness? Then you might like to take a few bytes from our forum feeds in RSS, RSS2 and XML formats. If you are confident you won't bite off more than you can chew, you may want a feed for the whole forum. Those more easily overfaced will probably want to subscribe to the sections they fancy individually.

    Bon appetit!

    Thanks! Much needed :)

Wish: any chance of increasing the number of items listed? I subscribe to a few different feeds and the 15 in a unity list is way behind the 70 or 80 items the apple dev feed has. That I can subscribe to each category is really great, but depending on activity items can move off the list pretty fast.

    thanks

Good call - I've increased the number now. Actually, I should have mentioned that you can also add "&count=XXX" to the end of the URLs (where the XXX is replaced by a number) to customise the number of posts that the feed can pull in.

    That's great, thanks for that.

And thanks for the info - I did a quick google to see if rss feeds could be customised, but since I only found people posting requests for the feed lengths to be modified by admins I figured it wasn't.

    thanks!

Is it possible to get feeds on replies in the forums, I only seem to get new topics.

I think you should get an update when the thread gets a new post but the feed is limited to showing thread titles rather than each individual post.

Thank you so much! Not having an RSS feed meant I wasn't coming around here much. (I say one week after this thread was posted – the first time I saw it. :p)

Not getting any updates for new posts to a thread only getting newly started posts.

Actually, it was you who first alerted me to the importance of the feeds and suggested the separate feeds for each section. From now on, they will be known as The Jessy Feeds in your honour ;-)

Ah, I see what you mean now. There doesn't appear to be any setting in the software to make this happen. However, I'll see if there are any other options since this would be a very useful feature.

I think Firefox is caching those feeds.. (I just got 1 month old feed, until pressed F5..)

It seems firefox might need extra cachecontrol variable (?)
    Cache-Control: no-cache, no-store

It is great Unity has a RSS forum feed but currently it is almost unusable with the vast amount of Spam that appears in the RSS feed daily, overnight the RSS feed said there were 124 new forum threads started, of those 20 were actual Unity posts the rest spam. It must be taking up so much of the moderators time deleting the hundreds of spam posts that appear on the forum daily surely something can be done?

Oddly enough I did do a search, 'rss feed spam' shows up this thread but does not show up the thread you linked to :)
