I've been running into situations that call for containers often now too. Cant wait to see them in a new build. great work so far though. I'm finding and reporting the bugs as I find them. :)

cool, that should help keep things nice and tidy :)

Here's a webplayer for a 2d platformer prototype I started on monday. It was all done in vizio
    2D Platformer

    AD = left/right
Space = jump (hold space for longer jumps)

Using the character controller would have been too easy and since I wanted it all to be physics based, I went with rigidbody instead. Not super fancy yet but I'm still quite proud, since I'm an artist with little coding experience...

Gabriel, use AddForce to kick the obstacles. And you need to do something with Controller, when he meets absolute obstacles.
But, I'm sure - this is a first stage. Good luck with your projects (and VIZIO using) in new year. Ask me for custom blocks (but not often, please ;) )

Ok. My keyboard is now sticky because of drooling on this thread.
    Are you happy ?
Is that another "Tetris style strategy" to slow down progress of western developers, all of them condemn to wash daily their keyboard ?

I don't find this funny. Release it...

    Still looking awesome Neo!

can't wait to play with it... I've grown used to coding, but theres still a fair amount of prototype stuff that i think i'd be faster with in the virtools-esque style..

Privet Neo, After reading this entire thread watching every linked video today, I wish to congratulate you on your fantastic work.

I am with you all the way, and agree that VIZIO is the way to go.

I have a specific interest in sailing/yachting simulation, VIZIO will be a fantastic thing for me personally.

Being a St. Petersburg guy, surrounded by water, I was wondering if you also had an interest in sailing/yachting?

Yes, it is. But yachting is a rich men's sport and currently is unavailable to me yet.

I will happily buy VIZIO when you release it, I hope it helps you on your on your way to you first yacht, lol.

P.S. I can't afford a yacht either. but sailing online is much cheaper.

The best yachting simulation ever is now gathering dust on the shelves of ubisoft that is why i will use Unity to create a better one ;)

    Cheers Dez

I hope, you will do it soon. Let me more a little time for end of a necessary works.
And, now, when I start to know what VIZIO is... I start to think, what name of my work would be a differed. May be it will called as Antares Universe - because it is deep as deepest ocean in the code world.
Forgive me for a small pathos. This is just my feeling. This environment surprises even me.

вы Neo, no need to hurry for me as I have much to learn, maybe you might also consider Antares Abyss (one of my favourite movies) maybe as the deep as deepest ocean and maybe no bottom, "infinite possibilities".

We will all enjoy the ride :)

    + 1
We will provide a set of "Smart Blocks" for quick fast prototyping. Who want to move quickly, will have this ability.

I think, the Abyss always smallest than the Universe. But, I'll remember it too. Thnx.
Hm... Well, may be abyss is so deep as infinity universe... I'll be thinking about it.

Just got involved in the beta program (with still has no documentation).

this is my implementation of the every 3 second spawn from main.js in the Virtual World Example from the asset bundles.

I have converted the entire examples into VIZIO Graphs, and while there are a few things Im still trying to work out how to do with the defaults provided, It was very very easy to create my own blocks (and quicker in some cases) to do things.

I can see multiple ways of using this, from quick prototyping. Creating blocks for the designers to do stuff with.

Very well done Neodrop and Team. Keep up the good work.

a "built-in" FSM = VERY useful(for prototyping and otherwise). cant wait to test.

does the FSM support a visualization in a standard FSM graph instead of these fictional name relationships which make it even harder to see the relantionship and flow?

As often happens, I don't understood your thought flight, dreamora. Here you can see the "standart graph". What is harder to see here?
Or what you want to see? Give me advice, instead asking the vague questions. ;)

Perhaps I could help clarify with an example:

Quest3D has a clear representation of the states of the FSM, the events that trigger the changes, and actions taken as result, both in state change moment, and continuously in the new state.

    Quest3D Finite state machine

However, I must say that, often, despite this clarity, I prefer making my own logic with standard nodes, whose representation lets also follow the behavior of the program clearly.

I hope this also happens in Vizio.

Well, we can add a color indication for every user-defined state. Is it OK ?
    Or I little don't understood again ;)

When the Editor will work in Editor Mode, You always will see the current state, because his logic branch will work and shined by "execution" color. (but not realised right now)

    VIZIO : Local Variables

This Local Variable can be created in the Graph and used in any others logic blocks (*inside this graph).
The Global Variables will be added soon as and sending/receiving the data between the graphs (or any other classes)

A very nice feature of Virtools was its ability to convert automatically compatible variable types directly in the link. Are you thinking about doing this too?

    Float to Int
    Int to Float
    Any to string
    Any compatible to UnityEngine.Object
    Any to System.object

    Neodrop, one more question.
I had a project made with Virtools that I want to remake in Unity.
I just finished video tutorials series made for Unity. (VTC.Introduction.to.Game.Development.Using.Unity.3D).
I have not a day of experience working with Unity scripts, and more then 5 years of experience working with Virtools.
My general idea is to transfer Virtools bb scripts to Unity with your VIZIO system.

What is your opinion, should I start to learn scripting in Unity or should I wait for your system.
It's not problem for me to learn and use Unity scripts, I am just thinking is it better to start only with your VIZIO paradigm or should I have to go deep inside Unity scripting before I start to use your system ?

Well.. Considering your experience, I can add you in our beta group. Make your choose yourself about how do you will work with Unity - with VIZIO or without it after you'll see it.
But, unlike Virtools, VIZIO have too much more BB's (all low-levels methods from UnityEngine is presented (more than 6000+)) and we do not written (yet) enough a High Level BB's like in VT. But should be.
And, we still have no documentation, but in general, our testers don't need it.

BTW, I too worked with Virtools over 5 years. ;)

    Runtime Debugging : ON

Now it is possible to control graph execution in runtime as and parametres changing.
Even creating the visual code right in play-mode.
