    Hi guys,

I keep saving my projects and when I come to re open them again, it seems my project has only half saved!! Everything in my file structure seems to be moved or non existent. Is this normal? Is there anything else I should do that I may be missing?

    Cheers

Are you really saving your work ? Did you make scenes ?

    Hi there,

I just tested resaving out a project then. this is what i did:

    1) file > new project
    2) unchecked standard unity project checkbox and pressed 'create' button
    3) created new folder structures in the 'project' tab eg (Assets, Sound, Scripts etc)
    4) imported a couple of assets
    5) dragged them out on stage in front of the camera
    6) clicked file > save project
    7) clicked file > save scene
    8) closed down unity
    9) opened up a tutorial file from unity website
    10) closed down unity again
    11) opened up my scene file

i get an error like this:

Rebuilding Library because the asset database could not be found!

all my assets are all over the place and some seem to be missing.

    what am i doing wrong?

    thanks

Have you modified anything in the project's Library or Temp folders while it was still open or after closing the project? Is there anything like access restrictions or virus software that might stop Unity creating or modifying files in these folders?

I have the very same problem. Did any of you solve it so far? For me it startet with a Unity Asset Store import. It was an audio and another asset folder. Oh dear ...

You replied to an extremely old thread. It is unlikely that you have the same problem. It would be more useful for you if you start your own thread and share some more details in there.
