    If the light source was placed behind the clouds, they will react to this? I mean, will the implemented transmission of light.
    I hope you understand, what i mean:)

    BTW, VIZIO is a separate project. Just common mark-name Antares.

    thanks for the clarification on Vizio.... I STILL cant wait to test it after seeing the new video. are you considering selling it on the Unity Asset Store?

    Hey Neodrop amazing work you are doing, thanks so much for sharing this. I have a small issue with the antares addon, the background is too bright and the font is not dark enough so it's very hard to read the text inside the windows and inspectors. I noticed on the screens and videos you posted you work on windows, I work on mac, maybe it's an issue with the editor on mac.

    I could dig into your code and comment the lines where you draw the background but then I'd have to do that every time you release an update. Have you considered adding an options menu for the whole addon where you can set the font color and enable/disable the backgrounds?

    Edit: I realize now that the issue is with the pro skin in unity3 which has a light gray font color.

    Well, unfortunatly, I haven't free time now for such skinning work. If you can write it yourself, I'll add it in next release.

    Personally, it wouldn't matter if it was sold via the asset store or not as far as I'm concerned. It does seem that developers are increasing their prices to cover the royalties they're being charged, which is only fair, but from a consumer's perspective I'd rather just pay directly through PayPal if it ended up being cheaper. I don't need Unity's "seal of approval", I've seen enough of Neodrop's work to know that anything he builds will work. That's just my opinion, of course.

    Folks, Antares Project and Antares VIZIO is a separate products - just the same "trademark" name. ;)
    I think, would be best, if we will discuss about VIZIO in the VIZIO topic.

    I made a small change in the AntaresAddonEditor script to change the font color of Object description and multitags from gray to black. Just to make it a bit more readable.

    played your boot camp demo, tiss pretty nice mate, but please fix the mouse movement, go to input and set the mouse x and y axis to 0.01 instead of 0.1 should increase the mouse rez by a factor of 10 meaning much smoother game play, you will have to increase the sensitivity though to account for the loss of speed. Was dam near impossible to spray targets at ranges beyond 10meters and pretty difficult to get any real long range shooting done even when aiming, a crouch feature would be nice also, felt like them bipeds were beating me with a very large stick. Graphics look awesome when on full but avas comp cant handle it when playing.

    Right now I'm very busy with VIZIO and other works for playing with Bootcamp. I plan to develop it further, but later.

    Mass set Texture Type for all textures which contain the set string in a name or path.

    Antares Project works in any Unity version.

    Could you name all scripts with some sort of prefix? Like antares_curve.cs That would help to see that particular script belong to Antares while searching inside big projects (built in search in Project window). Also that will remove compatibility problems, for example curve.cs do exist in libNoise port for Unity, and libNoise is quite a popular package.

    Almost all classes have original name with Antares in it. But I can't keep it always like this and I can not guarantee an eternal incongruity of names because if all my classes will start from Antares, nobody, include me, will not find anymore in this crowd.

    It is very easy to rename all conflicted classes in anything other, especially if you use a good coding editors like a MonoDevelop or MSVC

    May be sometime, I'll put it all in two dll's and will keep all code in my own namespaces, but right now, Unity still not so good work with Editor classes, included in dll's and revamping a whole Antares is a difficult work for me now.

    The key features to the next release is :


    1. Curves Improved (more flexible) Road tool compatible
    2. Export tools (.obj) (based on Unity-beta 3.0 code)
    3. The Dynamic Volumetric Clouds System
    I'm not sure now, but, may be, Antares Project will be hosted on Asset Store (here is a little technical troubles)

    New for upcoming release : View your animation right in Unity Inspector.
    (look at the slider under the "Make Brush" button in Inspector. When you move it, animation is playing)

    Antares Project seems to be excellent. I'm trying to use it and I would like to ask some expert advise. Here is my questions;
    • I've only found http://www.unity3d.ru/ANTARES/Exampl...d_27_05_10.rar as a simple demo project. In Unity 3.1.0f4 with AntaresBrowserAndAddon_Multitags_1_5_5_for_3_0.unitypackage It produces the following error msg;
      "Assets/DemoScripts/MoveOnCurve.cs(43,21): error CS0103: The name "sppedInt" does not exist in the curve content"​
    • Where to find demo projects with source code showing how to use AntaresBrowserAndAddon_Multitags_1_5_5_for_3_0.unitypackage in Unity?
    • Is this version also compatible with Unity 3.1.0f4?
    • Do we supposed to download "Antares.dll" in addition to AntaresBrowserAndAddon_Multitags_1_5_5_for_3_0.unitypackage?
    • From where to download VIZIO?

    Yes, this version work with all Unity 3x.

    No, there is no need to download that. just the package.

    there is no download link for that, because its not available for everyone, The open beta will be soon, as Neodrop said.

    Currently, this demo is obsolete. But, Antares Project ia a big set of Editor Runtime tools and, as I remember, this demo showed only Curve interpolation - jast a little part from AP.

    Do we supposed to download "Antares.dll" in addition to AntaresBrowserAndAddon_Multitags_1_5_5_for_3_0.uni typackage?

    I give it on demand. Just ask me. But, this is independent dll. Don't care about it, if you don't need it.

    From where to download VIZIO?

    VIZIO is completely separate project just with Antares "trade mark" in name. This project now in Closed beta-test stage and don't have a public download link.

    I'm getting an error now with Antares Project:


    Assets/Antares/Scripts/System/TakeYourHandOFF.js(18,116): BCE0019: 'RestoreEditing' is not a member of 'UnityEngine.Component'.

    Does anyone know of a possible fix without just deleting the script from the project folder?

    This dll is not a part of Antares Project's standart package. I give it on demand. And, i must aware you - Antares.dll is a shareware software, not open source as Antares Project. This has described in description (Menu : Antares/Help/).

    has anyone tested the Antares AsyncLoader on an iOS device? If so, what has the performance been like; any hiccups/frame-jumps/freezes?

    Antares AsyncLoader is based on standart Async Unity classes. This is a convenient manager but not the independent way.
    And it is requires Unity PRO licence.
