I was wondering what the viability of running a Unity application on a large display device (or with something like a NVIDIA Quadro Plex system over multiple displays) that supports very large resolutions would be.

Is there a limit for the resolution a Unity application can run at or could it be set to run at (for example) 8400x6300 without issue if the hardware/dispay supports it?

Unity's limit is whatever the hardware limit is.

Great, thanks. I assumed as much, but it never hurts to double check ;).

Except that if you are using Windows 7 64bit all your font texture graphics will be corrupted/smeared and low resolution...

Low resolution or low quality? I'm asking because in the default settings, when you play your game at something lower then built-in "Good", textures are resized to half, quarter and even 1/8 resolutions.

I'm on Windows7 64bit too and textures work ok in even 640x480.

potentially your gpu is just no longer able to offer the full resolution on dualscreen resolution (or you are using a normal dvi cable instead of a dual dvi one connected to a dual dvi output on the graphic card)

Not so, as my desktop, apps and games all run nicely at 2560x1600
