Most likely the latter. He split out some of the items from his Village Interior kit into smaller packages for those people who wanted, say, the Cathedral bits but didn't want everything else.

    @RonnyDance
Thanks for the great question, it is a very valid question that I think others will get value in reading the answer :):):)

When the Village Interiors Kit was released, I had some plans to add some extra contents but never thought they would be so comprehensive and as much as it ended up being:)
The Taverns and Inns Kit, Catacombs & Crypts Kit & the Castles & Cathedrals Kits were all FREE added contents, but they were substantial enough to be extracted as smaller standalone kits.

With the Village Exteriors Kit though, I from the start planned and through great user participation here in the forum established a road map of features that they would like to see.

All the items on the road map are going to be added as FREE updates to those that buy the Village Exteriors Kit
This is the FULL kit, there is not later HUGE bundle that will include all the parts/updates.

To try illustrate the HUGE value for money in getting the Village Exteriors Kit,
I added *(will be a full kit, also to be sold standalone) to those items that like the Taverns and Inns Kit, Catacombs & Crypts Kit & the Castles & Cathedrals Kits will be also sold separately.

But buying the loose smaller packs will very likely end up costing close to double the full package price.

The Village Exteriors Kit will very likely increase in price later when more updates have been added but these updates will be FREE for existing owners that already own it.

*** taking not of the food comment ;)

    Cheers

@Frogger007 I had fun doing it.

When you load up the scene and look around, you will see nice details.
    - The terrain is not hectically sloped, just some basic terraces to accommodate the placement of the buildings
    - Rock ground texture mostly painted on diagonals that visually helps to explain the terrain
    - Pathways are mostly slightly indented to give a wear & tear look to them
    - The small pathways, next to the Forge, next to the house, between forge and stables giving a nice lived in feeling

I will do some more scenes that shows the Interiors & Exteriors used like this and share them on the BLUEPRINTS section on my website

    Cheers

I think this BLUEPRINTS are a special good idea.

Descriptions or hint like this, for future BLUEPRINT releases, could be very usefull for the users ! :)

It describes why something is like it is !
Could be placed into an included README-file.

Wow, I love the buildings being made with your asset they look excellent. I've got big plans for the Exteriors pack. :)

The spikes on the roofing, is that something that we can remove at will?

Excellent question that has an even better answer
Like ALL 3DForge products, I love giving options.
Do you want each pillar that you run past to be a copy of all the other pillars, nope.
Then why have that for the roofs ?

You in fact have 10 roof styles when adding all up
    Wooden Tiles Types A B C D E F
    Slate Tiles Types A B C D E
    Thatch A

Option f came with the Thatch update, it is my personal favorite :):)

So if you now run through a village, you can have so many different buildings by just changing the roofs alone
But the same method is in play when looking at the walls.
There are 6 different texture types, so mixing them and the roofs, you can have a game where no building has to be used twice, and you still wont run out of options :)

    Cheers

A quick cross-post from my WIP thread on the fence builder asset that I'm working on, but I thought I'd post this image in here as it just like the houses look once they've got fencing around them :D Makes them appear more 'lived in' :)

    Hi,

Just to illustrate the power of the modular system while finishing off the BLUEPRINTS
Here is exactly the same building, I just swopped out the actual roof and the lower tries for the thatch

Now this is just the roofs, there are 6 wall textures to throw into this list of options, T, L & X shaped buildings and single, double and taller story buildings as well.

    Cheers

It weird how just altering the slope of the roof makes the thatched house look smaller than the other two :D

But that is valuable becasue ti is going to give great extra variety and diversity if you have a small village with many buildings, so that you end up with a good and realistic random look, instead of everything just the same

The wooden tile ones have a more majestic more upper-market look & feel and the thatch then that even look smaller ,maybe for poorer areas in a town

I think I might take your thatch texture, duplicate it, darken it to make it look more 'aged' and then create a second material so that I could have both styles :)

I actually included 3 texture sheets for the Thatch
    - Standard
    - Dry
    - Wet
with the last update, so check if one of them maybe what you are looking for.

Village Interiors Kit specifically is the perfect companion and 1:1 the exact same texture resolution and similar typology.
This Exteriors Kit was developed as standalone and fits like a glove onto the interiors
Below you can see the interiors added to the Exteriors of the FREE Blacksmith package

The Cave set and the sewer kit have very good web demos to check out to see if it is something that you might want.
Go to their product pages and run through them :)
The Tile A Dungeon Sewer Kit have a planned HD update in the near future as well

Cobus will you also update your Tile a Dungeon / Cave Adventure Kit to HD Textures like Interiors and Exteriors?
The dungeon asset would fit perfect for an instance dungeon in my scenario.

A big yes for the Tile A Dungeon Sewer Kit
I own www.tileadungeon.com , and have several sets still planned for the brand.
It has been well received with many great reviews and 75 X 5 STAR ratings
The Large tile system is excellent.

The Cave Adventure Kit I have not looked at HD texture wise, it is not impossible, but right at this moment I can not give a a definite yes

Broken wall segments, in the cellar of a house, leading into a dungeon ...
... tileable cave segments ... to create a expandable underground would ...

RPG games needs a lot of different styled dungeons and caves with a lot of deeper going levels !

Glad you like the new BLUEPRINTS.
They so easy to add, and what is cool, you only add the ones you want for each project.
Even as you build your own custom sets, export and back them up for yourself in the same manner :);)

They will always be a FREE delivery and keep expanding as more meshed gets injected into the package.

I also liked the way they worked out with the more dirty and grimy type look.
The Farm02 again with the cleaner plaster option used.
The new thatch really work well with the more countryside rural building requirements.

With the taller ones I wanted to give good examples of taller buildings, to show how well the Village Exteriors Kit modular system can do low, mid and nice tall buildings all from one package.

They do have the name Top Down, but they are really great in FPS scenes and you can look up at taller more majestic kind of buildings.

I am looking forward to the props as well, going to add so much further value to have you pool of props to pick from in the same consistent style, texture and typology, although, the props I am going to produce with a much higher poly count versions as well as lower ones

I will enjoy the rest and be back with loads to deliver :)

    Cheers

    Hi,

I am humbled by the latest review for the package and would like to add it here

A Unity 3D Fantasy Developers Essential Environment Tool

As an owner of nearly all 3D Forge assets, we only expected greatness from this package. As always, 3D Forge delivered what is, without doubt, the most used package in our fantasy game's content collective. Not only was the stock package broad and wide-reaching, they have continued releasing free updates as well as some incredibly impressive templates, further referred to as Blueprints. You simply download the prefabs, and dive right into development. For those of you that know how long it can take to create reasonable structures from modular pieces, you'll be happy to know that these Blueprints (prefabs) are diverse, and make prototyping "TOO EASY".

Not only has this product been of great help to our project's development process, it has spawned a new initiative that our company has developed called The Third-Party Project; an initiative where we plan hold small crowdfunding ventures on our sites to help pitch a bit of funding over to third-party developers like 3D Forge. TTPP is our way of showing appreciation to these asset developers for making products affordable to those of us, who otherwise, would be unable to afford such services.

Thanks 3D Forge, we look forward to purchasing more assets from you in the near future.

    Aaron Victoria
    CEO, SilverHelm Studios
    Programming Director, Legends of Etherell

    Thank you SilverHelm Studios :):):)
