    Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a solution to making Unity game/app for Samsung SmartTV. Unfortuantelly, there are not much information about Unity NaCl and SmartTV out there.
it's said that Samsung SmartTV support NaCl/PNaCl. So I think my Unity3D app should work on it also.
But after doing some test - create a simple scene with a rotating cube - I got this error when deploy to Samsung TV Emulator.
"NaCl module load failed: Nexe crashed during startup"
    $crash.png

And when I trying to package this app and deploy to real Samsung TV. I got an error message said:
"Failed to install. For more information, visit http://www.samsungdforum.com/Support/TVAppsSecurity"
and when I go to the URL in that error message, it said that:
"This error message pop-up occurs when you deploy your applications which use APIs not listed in API Reference.
(You can find available APIs through the Samsung Smart TV Developer Documentation)
Or That means your TV Apps has unauthorized binary files in it."

But AFAIK, there is an Korean company called Nexon has released its game using Unity - KartRider Rush - on Samsung TV appstore
    http://support-hk.samsung.com/tvapps/hk_en/TVApp/Details/kartrider-rush-tv

    I have tried with Unity3D 4.3.x and 4.2.2. And nothing changed :(

Is there anybody have experience with this can help me? Or Unity team, can you confirm that currently, Unity3D NaCl can work on Samsung Smart TV or not?

    Many thanks,
    Huy

Sounds cool, you should probably contact Samsung on this subject.

If the TV is Arm-based then it will not work. Unity's 4.2 NaCl export works on Intel devices only.

Thank you for your reply :)
So, there are no hope with the ARM based devices, right?
Do you have any other solution for supporting both SmartTV and PS/Xbox?

Unity Games Coming to LG's Smart TVs
    http://www.afjv.com/news/678_unity-games-lg-tv.htm

    Is it just outdated? OR
LG has Intel chipsets on their TV? OR
Parts of Unity will work on LG TVs

    Or all of the above?

That was a press release about an agreement LG signed with our Union division. Union ported games to LG devices. Union has since evolved into Unity Games, and no LG TV version of Unity was ever discussed, worked on, or released.
