NEED HELP DECYPHERING INSTRUCTIONS and general coding help!

instructions are too hard!!! how do i integrate assets into my project? i.e, assets: scene manager, 5 minute gui, etc. i need help doing this, im about to scrap my project and start over...

i have free version of unity and scene manager and 5minute gui assets and yes i have read instructions and watched the videos but i still cant get it to work. i have very limited experience in programming. and most instructions are hard for me to follow. help me understand instructions and get it to work in my project!

i reluctantly paid for an asset called scene manager "http://www.ancientlightstudios.com/scenemanager/index.html" because i could not figure out how to code transitions onto the gui. i bought a cheaper one but it did not have any support and i couldn't figure it out. i went to the set up page, "http://www.ancientlightstudios.com/scenemanager/tutorials/five_minute_guide.html" and tried to go thru the process.
