Hi, I am having trouble with some objects that have spherical geometry, when I lightmap them I get an unregular look to the specular reflection of the scene light on the object.
Here you can take a look at what is happening, the reflection spot does not spread equally throughout the polygons. I am using a resolution of 50 texels and a padding of 8:

Does this have anything to do with UV2 maps, maybe? I am modelling this in Lightwave 3D and I am using only one UV map.

    Any help or guideance appreciated!
    Thanks in advance! ;)

Try making the triangles on the spherical portion share a smoothing group.

Ok, I'll give this a try. I am using Lightwave 3D though, hence I'm researching on how to achieve this in LW.
As I've learned, 3D MAX has the smoothing group option, and is also the way to go for game content creation.
    Thanks Quantum!
