Snow Day is a game I developed for 1 game a month, but it changed into a game I wanted to release on the play market.
It's a casual game where you shoot down santa's minions with snowballs to earn points and try for the top of the leaderboard!

    Where can I download?
    Lite version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.LittleForest.DecGameJamFree
    Full version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.LittleForest.DecGameJam

    Price?
Like most mobile games it will be .99 cent.

    How does it look?
Credit goes to Tony Nowak for the art. You should check him out also.

    Thanks, appreciate it :)
My idea was a simple game that is still fun to come back to, as that's what most of the fun android games are usually.
Just a game where you want to come back each time for a better score.

Probably one of the most addicting games I've ever played. Upgrades and new creatures would make this game worth some money on the appstore.

Thanks, that's exactly what will be added before it goes on the appstore this month.

Great news! Today Snow Day was written about on the RX6GamingNews website, which is great because it makes more people aware of the game! I'm happy about it since now slowly more people will be playing and enjoying it.

Thanks to Dolores for writing the article :) (which you can check out here)

Super fun game! I love how it was instantly clear what I needed to do.

BTW, how did you do the dying animation? Just an animation component attached to the gameobject or some sort of physics rotation?

It uses mechanim for state changing, but the animation is make with legacy and is really just changing the sprite renderer, scaling down, and rotating.

Week 4 of development, here's another dev log!

Quick update, the website now is a actual domain! Also you can expect the game to come out this week or next week depending on how busy I am.

the game is funny but you need to make greater memory managements, it is killing my browser. I assume you constantly instantiate prefab, Do not do that, make an object pool and recycle dead or objects that passed

Love your pixel gfx :D and love games who is easy to get going, just write a lot of stuff under "how to play" but its all about shooting - so you should mayb consider to move some of the text i my opinion. I would really love if you add a snowball splash effect when the bullet hit an enemy. Good work!

I'll make sure to do that, but it probably won't make it into the first release. I have tested on 3 devices (Samsung Galaxy Epic, Samsung Galaxy S3, and Toshiba AT100) which do work pretty fine so I'm sure it'll be fine for most users on first release. That can be expected though in the second build.

Actually, pixel art is done by Tony, should probably praise him about it :)

I'll make sure to get rid of some text, as I need to revise how to play anywayq.
I'll see what I can do about a splash effect.

Hasen't been a update on progress in a while, weeks have been a bit crazy and are only starting to calm down.
Anyway, next big update is being planned and worked on, no clue on release. What would you guys like to see?

Finally test have calmed down, and you can expect more post up to the next update. Changing up code a bit and first addition I'll show is
the shop, which is where you'll exchange score earned in-game for upgrades. More details on it once I get everything done for it.
For now I'll show the new main menu.

The shop is working fine now, so I would like to show the first item you can get from it. they're Christmas lights, and they're aesthetic (can be turned off/on in shop after buying). Next item(s) should have to do with keeping players coming back to earn more score.

    Hi everyone.
I've been hard at work on another project, which is why you don't see much posting here. Update 3 will probably have more details throughout May, and that will be the final update. I'm happy with what I have, and with Update 3 it basally adds everything I wanted. If you want to follow progress I'm starting to post often to these places:

    Stay tuned ;)

First update of many, expect alot in the month of May.
Here's the second item that can be gotten from the shop, a Chinese dragon cannon! Soon it will have special effects each time you shoot it. Note again that all things in the shop after being got can be turned on/off.

Ok, so the final Snow Day update is going to come next week. Sorry for no updates on it, I've been doing alot of things in the last few months and have been experencing a long case of not feeling like developing. Ether way, update next week should make the performance better and add more features/achievements to keep you busy :)
Also, maybe a actual trailer but I can't promise anything on that.

To differentiate between them, giant elfs have been replaced by Santa himself! Next update is coming a bit late due to me being out of town last weekend.

Hey all, I'm happy to announce that Snow Day 3.0 comes out today!
Due to how google play works, it may take a few hours to get to everyone.
    Also, a new trailer.
