    Hi Guys.

I need your help, i am trying to make a FPS Game with my friend and im doing the modeling and the texturing of the guns and the environment. so i was asking if somebody could help me on getting better at texturing because the texturing that im producing is really bad. They dont look good in unity no matter what shaders i use.

This is what im producing: $untitled.png
*NOTE TEXTURES NOT FULLY RENDERED(WHITE SPACES)

i want it to look a bit more realistic and better like this: $mk17.jpg

if someone could give me some links to tutorials (Good Ones) that show me how to texture Guns And Weapons on GIMP 2.8 that would be nice. anything like Free Books and pdf's, youtube videos would be nice.

Note I use Blender to model and Gimp 2.8 to texture.

How does your UV map look like? Also, if you aren't really experienced with texture painting then don't expect it to look like in the reference. As with everything, texturing and uv mapping requires that you do it often to gain experience/skills. Do as many tutorials and painting as you can (do it daily for at least 2 hours).
