Sprite Animations with Legacy not possible?

    Since dragging a number of frames in the scene automaticaly creates an Animator and I want to use legacy Animation, I tried creating the sprite sheet manually. I've added Animation component and created an animation. Added a property that of SpriteRenderer.Sprite and set keys for that. The different sprites seem to show up correctly in the Animation View, but playblasting or even in play mode, it seems that the Sprite doesnt change.

    So...does it means that sprite sheet animations are possible only in mechanim?

    Same question.

    What if we don't want to use Mechanim? ( In the current time I mean )
