Unity developers! We want to see your Unity made games or interactive content on the Windows Store, so we are offering you the chance to win $100k in prizes.

We are looking for new or existing games or interactive content on either Windows Store Apps or Windows Phone 8. As a contestant you will gain access to a full featured preview of the upcoming Windows Store Add-on to create or port your 2D or 3D content.

Prizes!

Cash prizes of $30,000, $10,000 and $5,000 will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in two categories, Windows Phone and Windows Store Apps. Awards will also go to five honorable mentions in each category.

No, it's about 120 hours away

Since I moved to NZ I've been stuck spending all my time on this private website for a client that helped me pay to get over here. Otherwise game would easily have been released 2 months ago.

But I've had some things re-done in game and added an awesome career mode, which will be the basis of gameplay in the mobile versions.
So yeah, really miffed I miss this competition though.

 

I'm excited to see the results . How's that coming along?

 

Bit surprised to see the likes of Disney in the Gallery for such a competition. Isn't that a bit like Paramount entering a film in a YouTube competition? Not that I think they'll win; Unity Blender have come that far.

This. It looks a lot more like some "random" windows games. I don't think this has anything to do with the competition.

 

We aren't in the competition, those games listed are games that are already on the Windows platform.

 

Those are games released on Windows Store/WP8. Nothing to do with the competition.

 

Just so there is an "official" response, yes, those games on the gallery pages are just games we want to feature, they are completely unrelated to the competition we ran with MS.

 

Oh, I thought as much afterwards. You couldn't morally ban Disney of course but it would be a bit like the a government buying up their own lottery tickets.

 

Well the gallery is not for this store competition and I seriously doubt Disney entered in the first place.

We didn't. Those games are were built/ported a while ago, and its not really something we would do for a variety of reasons.

 

Don't shoot the messenger Just pointed to the gallery he was speaking about, it was there back when it was announced, so was a bit hard for them to be in the competition before it existed
