I was going to post in this thread... http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/95666-iPad-to-AppleTV-via-Airplay ..but feared it would just get buried. This seems to be a constant issue where new update features are announced but no documentation is supplied, only a mere mention in the 4.1 Features, noting the new Display class in the Script Reference, of which that tiny code snippet therein isn't very helpful. Back to Airplay...can you have different information displayed separately on the iDevice from the TV, as Real Racing does? Thanks! -Steve
I have noticed that Unity has been dropping the ball on documentation for over a year now, and it seems to be getting worse and worse. I think there are some features added in Unity 3.5 that are still not well documented.
What are you missing? The scripting docs sample shows you exactly everything you need. You have 2 cameras, and you just tell one of it to render to different display. So... maybe ask smth more specific? 8)
argh, it seems that our docs generator didnt like something about it please check this http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/175336-Unity-4-1-Airplay-missing-docs and usage sample http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/ScriptReference/Display.html
Thanks mate! I was searching for AirPlay in the reference and that page doesn't mention it so I guess that's why it never showed.
oh well, the functionality in itself is not about airplay. It is simply that on ios (for now the only platform supporting multi-display) it is implemented on top of airplay ;-)
