Uninstalling Unity

    Im trying to remove unity player plug in from my Mac os X and i keep putting it in the trash and it says its in use how do I remove it, and where is it in my broswer (fire fox 3.0.5)

    First off, welcome to the forums! Second, to uninstall the plugin you simply need to find and delete the plugin as you seem to be trying already:

    HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Unity Web Player.plugin

    If you're getting the error that you can't delete as it's in use then you should make sure that you've quite out of all browser apps that may be or may have been using the Unity Web Player. If even that fails (unusual) then you may need to do a restart, but if that's truly the case then I'd like to know what led you to this point as that would be a sign that something is amiss.


    Note: plugins aren't anywhere "in" your browser application, they're only found in the folder listed above. Browsers (Firefox, Safari, whatever) are then able to see what plugins are in that folder and then load/use them as needed.
