Hello everyone! I am trying to do remote debugging on the device, but I am getting an annoying issue. I am using my Mac as a hotspot to share my internet connection. My iPad and iPhone are connected to the said Wi-Fi network. I have a developer build with auto connect profiler turned on. When I go in Mono-develop and go under Run > "Attach to Process" I do not see any of the device. The only thing I see is null (mono) and Unity Editor (Unity)... Do you have any idea of what I am doing wrong or not doing ?
If you are able to make a "computer-to-computer network" on your mac and connect the device to it, I've gotten that to work. Usually have to restart Unity once the device is connected to the network you create. I have been unable to get it to connect just using the same WiFi either.
@eezSZY I switched from hotspot to computer to computer and now the device is shown in the attach to process dialog. Thank you very much. I can't describe what a headache this was turning into.
Connecting both devices to the same WI-FI network was what helped me. I thought that just being connected via USB is enough. #noob
I know this post is really, really old but using a computer to computer network WORKED!!!!! Here's what I did: Turn on flight mode, NO WI-FI (on tablet/phone) Connect the Tablet via USB to your Mac Go to Preferences/Sharing and then to Internet Sharing Choose iPad/iPhone USB (turn it on) Choose "Share your connection from: Wi-Fi" Turn on "Internet Sharing" now (again) Make sure there is NO WI-FI connection on your tablet/phone running Check if the USB internet connection is working by accessing the browser on your tablet Regards
I'm developing a free tool for remote debugging. This free tool - Remote Inspector - may help you. https://u3d.as/1kp3
