    What is Andromeda Hologram System?


    Andromeda is a system that can easily turn any 3d model into a AAA hologram effect. The system includes some effects and static to add disruption or distortion to your holograms as well as some hologram textures. Two other systems are also included for 2D Holograms and flickering monitor effects.

    All systems have custom editors to tweak every setting to create the exact hologram effect to suit your needs. You can adjust the tint color, static speed, static amount, and more. Andromeda looks great, performs efficiently, (also works on mobile) and can pretty much find a place in any game.

    What other uses can the Andromeda System be used for?

    The Andromeda System has many uses than just for hologram effects and we have supplied 3 different editors that should suit to all your needs. You can use Andromeda for flickering monitor effects, 2D hologram effects (so you can turn any 2D image into a hologram effect), and for 3d model hologram effects. All these are included with the pack. You can also use the Andromeda system for great looking ghost effects, spell effects, power up effects, invisible effects, armor effects, buff effects, and much more. Andromdea can find a place in any game.


    Does Andromeda work with Unity Indie?

    Yes, we are advertising Andromeda using Unity free. The demo videos below were made using no pro effects or image effects.


    Does Andromeda Work on Mobile?

    Yes, Andromeda also works on mobile devices and has been tested.


    Does Andromeda Perform Well?

    Yes, Andromeda uses no more draw calls or performance than typical Unity 3d shaders meaning you can have many on screen at a time.


    Andromeda's Customization

    Andromeda has easy to use editors making it quick and easy to set up 3d models or textures for hologram effects. The editors allow you to control things like tint color, hologram model, static texture, static speed, static amount, flicker amount, flicker speed, shake intensity, and more.

    Each component has a slider to adjust the levels to find the exact effect you're looking for. Whether it's ghost effects, spell effects, power up effects, invisible effects, armor effects, or buff effects you'll find it with Andromeda.

    A playable demo will be coming soon, we have made a video to show the shader in action. Keep in mind this was all done using Unity Indie, no pro effects were used.

    looks interesting! I guess this shader could be used to create some kinda ghosts or spectral apparition. Nice stuff.

    Yes, sure can.


    Yes, animations can be used. You can see animations working with the shader in the video with the running animation the alien is doing towards the end.

    We haven't tested it yet, but my assumption is that it will perform fine. It isn't a heavy shader.

    We were prepared to submit it but got destracted by our other systems. We also wanted to put some finishing touches on the pack. As well as add documentation. The system will be submitted in less than a week, we give our word. We have a lot of systems and finally have time to get it finished and released.

    Andromeda should be accepted and on the Asset Store within the next couple of days.

    Here's a video demonstrating the Andromeda System Editor. You can tweak every setting to get the exact hologram effect you're looking for. This video is also a tutorial so you can see how easy it is to setup and use any model as a hologram effect.

    Is there any way to tint my models? I have the shader working but I was expecting to be able to tint the overall color to my liking? I realize I could create a colorized copy of the texture, but a tint option would be much more helpful. :)

    Yes, you can adjust the Hologram Color via the Hologram Shader on your model.

    Yes a must have. This looks like it will work well also for changing the player characters for all kinds of sates like invis ect. Buying it this payday.

    Yes, there's all sorts of cool things you can do with Adromeda. Andromeda also works for animated characters. We will be release more examples soon.

    We released a quick update for Andromeda that greatly reduces the texture sizes on the demo models. The project is now only 7 mb. The update is now live.

    Also, feedback on Andromeda would be great. If you have any suggestions, bug reports, or feature requests please let us know here.

    Is there any way to make this work with a model that has multiple materials?
    The hologram static shader only seems to effect one material on the model.

    When you add the AndromedaModelSystem script and assign a game object it uses the .renderer property in the Update function rather than collate all the renderers in children (most of the models in my game have multiple child elements) on Start.
    It should then iterate all the materials within each renderer to be sure to cover all bases (this could be made optional when not the desired behaviour)
