Here is a a video, http://mehware.com/VaseCrazeDemo.html

Its kind of like root beer tapper without the customers and a pinch of a match-two games.

glad to see so many people making iphone games with the unity engine..
however
you guys are shooting yourself in the foot without a
"lite" version of your game..
even a one minute demo...
you would get more sales if you let people try it first..
if you don't feel you can make a lite version of your game and still get people to pay for the "full" version..
maybe that's a sign that your game needs more development..
my two cent..
can't wait to get my game up on the store..

Apple doesn't allow time-limited demos. There've been a number of games that have done quite well without a lite version; it's not necessary or appropriate for every game.

It has definitely helped us, but since we dropped the price from $4.99 to $2.99 and had a few pretty good reviews (ilounge etc.) at the same time, it is difficult to know exactly how much the lite version accounted for.

Wait, should I be upset for having spent $4.99 and then you lowered it? You owe me!

Nah, I'm only kidding, I'm gettin' my money's worth easy. :D

I know the demo definitely worked for me! I played the lite level and immediately purchased the full version.

The fact that it was a Unity3D engine game was icing on the cake!

Kudos on all the great reviews, btw!

Is that retribution for all the 'I missed the 20% off holiday special' complaints? :D

Thanks for your support! The lite version is currently #1 free download in sports and arcade in Japan (#4 all free games, #7 all free apps)... it is not quite leading to an incredible amount of sales unfortunately, can anybody translate 'Buy Full Version' into Japanese for us? :D

@wh00kah: thanks!

wow..
this is a great game..
you guys do the unity engine justice...
very nice graphics the controls are a little off
but still very good..
I predict you are going to make some serious money with this in the long run..
the lite version is really going to get the word out about it..
only one problem
I can't play my music will the game is going..
that's a big pet peeve...
I want to listen to my own music while I play the game..
that makes it more enjoyable for me..
you might want to change that..
other than the music thing
5 star game..

Hello.

My first iPhone game 'LawnBowls' (made with Unity) is now available from the iTunes App Store HERE.

A video preview is available HERE.

Application Description:

Welcome to International Lawn Bowls, the first ‘old-school’ bowling game for the iPhone or iPodTouch.

In the game of Lawn Bowls, players take turns to roll their bowls along the green trying to finish with their bowls closest to the Jack. Depending upon the amount of speed and angle, bowls will follow a curved path toward the Jack. This creates a skilful game of precision-aiming, fast-driving and tactical-blocking.

(Full rules and instructions are included).

Features include:

• Full 3D environment, with accurately simulated physical objects and collisions;
• Simple and intuitive (yet tactical and engaging) game with colourful graphics;
• Support for up to 4 players in the same game (with comical random names);
• Play against your friends, or play against the CPU AI controlled players;
• Bowl using the Touch-Screen (can be comfortably used one handed);
• Bowl using the built-in Accelerometer (tilt for angle, acceleration for power);
• Interactive cameras, fluidly track the action from various positions and angles;
• Challenging game play with 3 levels of AI difficulty;

Enjoy!

(It's priced at £1.79 (UK) )...

Of course, positive/constructive reviews welcomed![/img]

I'm happy to announce that Mr. Smith has been released.

Actually it's not yet a game but more a stress-reliever.

I've localized the name of the game to the most common name of France, Germany, Italy, and Japan so the name of the application changes in the various store's.

Nope, everything in Unity is done with polygons in a 3D engine, no way around it. You can make it look 2D, but it will never be "real" 2D.

UPDATE: Anaglyphs! is live in iTunes! http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=304475201&mt=8

I am proud to announce my first game in the store: Anaglyphs!, the first iPhone game in Stereoscopic 3D!

Grab your 3D glasses!

Expanding on the iPhone-Match demo, the game features multiple themes, level progression, high score tracking and chain combos (Earn extra clock time by matching two or more pairs in a row). The game auto-saves at the start of each new level (saves time, level, score and theme) and offers a 2D mode for players without red/cyan 3D glasses.

The current themes are Classic, Winter and Classic 2D. I am working on Spring to be added as an update.

You can watch a video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaDJMdBA2Tw.
The official site is http://boiledgoose.com.

@yangmeng

Thanks! Absolutely, though it all depends on the response to this one. I wanted to sort of 'test the waters' to see if there was even a demand for it, before sinking a ton of development time into something more complex, only to find out the niche is too small to support the dev time.

Also, the card match mechanic lends itself well to this (floating cards, recessed backgrounds) and for my first game I wanted something simple to get my feet wet.

So, yes, I want to do stereoscopic modes for future games, but the success of this one will determine how quickly I get to them. :D

Nice work! The water reflection rendering especially looks awesome. Any hints as to what material/techniques you used to achieve? Also interested in the plane shadow....

I said it on Touch Arcade forums as well as the iTunes App Store, and I'll say it here. Absolutely spot-on amazing game! That this was made in Unity should really serve as a testament to the amazing abilities this platform offers to anyone who wants to develop on it, whether 2D or 3D.

I'm REALLY seeing some awesome stuff from Unity3D iPhone devs now! First Crazy Snowboard 2.0, then Downhill Bowling, now we've got Zombieville USA, Biplane - Wings of Raccoon, LuziBraq, Big Fun Racing, Sheepstacker. Just some really diverse and fun games out now!

We've just updated Crazy Snowboard to 2.0.2. The main features added are:

- play your iPod playlist in the background
- disable sound effects
- disable grab camera added to options menu
- updated menus
- vibrate feedback on wipeout

Most of these additions are courtesy of Skinkbot's iPhone Enhancement Pack which I highly recommend.

And because the Unity developer community/forum is such an awesome resource here are 20 promo codes for free downloads (sorry, US store only, red ones are taken):

Heyaz Y'allz!

My first app is up! Finally :) After tons of waiting. Hehe. The only issue is that it was hopefully supposed to be up before Valentines and it didnt happen. Boo. Tilt the phone to rotate cupid and touch the screen to boost. Collect all the hearts on the level. The characters pulse in time with the music.

http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=304712971&mt=8

After talking with Apple they are still looking at Pay2Play and I have better apps on the way! :) (p.s. the last image is a sneak preview of a character for one game).

Thanks!

I just want to say (again) that you are all doing a great job with your games and I hope to be adding my own game to this thread later in the year.

Heyaz yallz,

I thought it wouldnt happen or id get rejected. But its been approved and non gimped! :) Unity can be used for many different types of games. This game takes Dopewars and mixes it with being an Illinois Governor. Please pass around! :) Please buy so I can pay rent and give more money to Unity for better licenses. ^_^

Oh and ive added another sneak peak at my newest game KillerApp. Its a WIP and only a week so far in dev but it works well on the iPhone with lots of enemies on screen. :)
