Update: we've reduced the price of the Shroud plugin to just $95.

    Hi everyone,

We're happy to announce that we have launched a version of our advanced cloth simulation technology, Shroud™, that plugs into the Unity game engine. The easy-to-use plugin, which is available for purchase on the Unity Asset Store, offers users a range of powerful features for simplifying the creation of high-performance, highly realistic clothing in Unity-powered games. A free trial of Shroud for Unity is available on the CloakWorks store.

Used in such high-profile titles as Hitman: Absolution™ and RIFT™, Shroud is a complete solution for adding dynamic interactive cloth, clothing, and other soft-body physics effects to games and real-time applications. It consists of a runtime module that can be added to any game engine for desktops, consoles or mobile devices, and a set of tools specifically designed to make creating cloth content quick and easy.

The demo version of the plugin doesn't seem to contain the Mac library - is there somewhere I can download that?

You can turn the number of iterations and successive over-relaxation setting down and make it very stretchy if you like, but you can't use it to drive the motion of other objects.

    I have another question.
Can i make a woobling ball with this on ios?
I can not use normal cloth on ios but maybe with shroud!?
Thinking on a wobling ball that i stear in a level on ios.
I saw some kind of 3d mattress in a shroud video that makes me ask this question.
Also i want to know if i can make this, can i do this with the free studio version?

You mean like a weakly-inflated ball? I'm afraid not, Shroud does have any kind of 'inflation' forces that would make that work.

Can I use this plugin to replace the built-in interactive cloth in Unity ?

I'm making a soccer goal net and it needs to interact with the ball accordingly.

    thanks.

You can use Shroud to make the net react with physics, but it will not stop the ball. The effect only reacts to collisions with the world, and does not effect the movements of other physics objects
