    Here is the Thread where I will update the news about the new version of Earth 3D: version 4.

    This version is a bundle of upgrades from v3 (all shaders have been upgraded, and projects files too), plus an addition of 6 totally new shaders, a new editor script, new maps and new features.

    What you get in this pack?

    • Earth 3D version 3, updated and upgraded, with the new version 4. Together you get more than 300 MB of high quality assets.
    • 16 shaders total, 7 legacy shaders from version 3 and 9 new shaders for version 4.
    • one editor with about 30 functions to manage all the parameters in the shaders, you even have drop down menus for the textures so you do not have to guess where they are. If you add more textures in the corresponding folders, they will show up in the editor automatically.
    • 14 example scenes with various type of Earth and one amazing sunrise scene. Apollo 17, Barymetric, Fantasy, Realistic, Scary, iPhoneshow and Terranovae are the new scenes.
    • Lot of hi-quality textures, reworked specially for this pack. 5 Earth bump, 8 Earth planetary images, 2 night textures, 5 clouds, 5 clouds bumps.
    • 8 prefabs, with them you can recreate any of the example scene in 2 minutes.
    • 16 scripts for use with the shaders like texture rotation, mouse, editors etc.
    • Specific shaders for iPhone with working example. On iPad 2 the 3 shaders are running at +30 FPS with 3 hi-resolution spheres (8000 poly each) for the ground, the clouds and the atmosphere.

    What can do Earth 3D v4:

    • Ground shader: have bump mapping, light scattering, manage the night and day textures to mix them perfectly, have a mix of 2 lightning models: specular on the water and diffuse on the dry ground. All of this in one pass, 64 instructions!
    • Cloud shader: have diffuse and optionally bump mapping. Another option is to have a cut-off filter to produce some interesting relief effects while maintaining the brightness. All these options can be easily managed from the editor.
    • Atmosphere shader: have 2 versions, one which is realistic and another named 'wide' to make wider halo. The atmosphere shader is a modified version of the original Neil GPU Gems shader with some creative addition like the Raleigh level, Mie power and Attenuate parameters, available from the editor.
    • Iphone optimized shader: it does the same, but display on the iPhone correctly.
    Note: iPhone ground shader does no uses dual lightning system (specular is buggy and too bright), the planet still needs to be at (0,0,0) dues to limitation to shader 2.0 number of instructions. The maths have to be optimized to fit the 64 instruction in one pass.

    Hi There, I just purchased the extension from your website, but I cannot get to download the package with the link received by email, it says: "Requested File Could Not Be Found" => Can you please advise or refund? Thanks.
