License File Not Valid

Hello!

I downloaded Unity today on my laptop. I am asked then to register. If i click on internet activation a message pops up saying:

'The internet activation server returned an unkown error (12057).

Press OK to manually activate your software.

ID: ePAY : 16007 / WPSW : 767'

Now to the tricky part, if i try to manually activate it, i am given the option to save license or to read license. After saving my license i click on read, find the saved license and open it. Then an error message pops up saying:

'This file does not contain valid license data and cannot be used.'

Anyone know what i'm doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated

i have version3.x i am a new user and i am trying to register but it wont let me pick the file it comes up with the not valid error, i am on mac and i just simply cant do it!

 

So, the manual activation process should deliver a file with an ULF extension to your machine. I know some browsers seem to add a different file extension, which prevents Unity from finding the file. If this is the problem you have, simple remove the "wrong" extension from the file in Finder. If you have a different problem, maybe take a screenshot, or describe in a little more detail what's happening.

 

unity hub sez: Invalid license file

how the hell it can be invalid if unity created this file???
uploaded on site, got lic file and... invalid
unity 2019.3.2f1

and reading your docs not help at all

I have to ask for a new manual activation, each time I want to use Unity… It is very boring!

After each licence, I can only load one project.

I cannot load 2 projects… If I quit the existing project, I see in Unity Hub that I have no more valid licence.

If I reload the license: I have 2 messages :
- Your license is successfully activated.
- Machine identification is invalide for current license

I always use the same machine…

 

Somtimes unity cant overwrite the license file and that causes unity / the hub to ask you ervery time to activate.
Just deleteing the license file C:\ProgramData\Unity\Unity_lic.ulf and then reactivating.

 

Unfortunately, that did not work.
