A coin themed action puzzle to give rebirth of arcade combat puzzle genre on iPhone/iPad!

    Powered by ex2D

    Intelligent, Dynamic and Classic Gameplay

Money Witches is a drag-n-drop action puzzle with shining coins! The intuitive and super responsive control make the gameplay much more dynamic than the big heads in action puzzle history such as Tetris/Column/Puyo Puyo/Magic Drop/etc.

The idea of using coins as a theme comes from an old Neo-Geo arcade game "Money Puzzle Exchanger". Player not only needs to move coins with same color together to clear them, but he also needs to be aware of the value of the coins exchanging and what kind of coin will be created out of it! After some play time, player will figure out the coin value up out of exchange system is not a hindrance but rather an open door for thousands of combo possiblity. You can see in the video how the newly created coin out of an exchange lands on another group of coins with the same value and get the exchange combo going on and on.

We showed only one game mode in the video called "Infinite", which is a survival mode in which player will be challenged by more and more incoming coins just like the classic action puzzles. More game modes and characters with different unique abilities (which will change the gameplay drastically) are in the making! There will also be Powerup systems to add more accessibility to average user and open up more possibility of different strategy.

The game is made with ex2D, our home made 2D sprite solution for Unity. Actually the original purpose of developing ex2D is to help us make this game.

We are glad that ex2D is now pretty popular as a 2D sprite solution in Unity community. And we are pretty satisfied by the performance of ex2D in Money Witches. We have high standard, fully dynamic graphic, tons of different sprites show up and disappear at each frame and we can still get a solid 55+ fps on iPhone4.

We'd like to invite every ex2D users or people who's interested in making 2D games in Unity to check Money Witches out. And we are open for any technical discussion regarding 2D rendering or gameplay.

    Looks like a great game.
Very nice graphics, and the gameplay looks very smooth. I like it.

Just a small note, I think on your first graphic, labeled the 'Witches Classroom' there is a graphical error.
Five 10c coins should turn into a 50c coin, when it instead shows a 5c coin.

Easy fix! Other than that, looks amazing! Great work and congratulations.
