Do you need Creature pack?

    There are more than 4000 model assets in asset store.
    But, very few creature assets.
    I think that I will make a creature pack.


    What kind of creature do you want?

    Yes, I would like a creature pack! Different monsters - the ones you sketched out would be good. I personally prefer "game style" models rather than ultra-realism, but I'd go for either one!

    What I really want is Japanese buildings :). Japanese buildings in RPG game? It is my dream :).

    Few buildings, castle.... but creatures are also good :)

    I'm referring to the crustacea, such as a crab and a crayfish.

    I always need more monsters. Ghouls, Spectres, Lich, medusa type, chimera, Ooze, Cubes, those sort of things =)

    I would love more fantasy/RPG type creatures (might magic, magics the gathering type, etc) for sure!

    High realism monsters would be great for me .... though basically any monster that isn't cartoony.

    Hi everyone.
    Thank you for giving many wonderful ideas :D
    I think that I will make them as a separate creature pack.

    Example
    Bugs creature pack
    CrustaceaGreen creature, caterpillar, Dragonfly, Crab and more...

    Dark creature pack
    Zombies, Medusa Lich Ooze and more...

    Fantasy creature pack
    Chimera, Minotaur, Dragon, and more...

    Magics the gathering is very good reference.

    Seeing some creature illustrations.(choice menu CARDS):eek:

    Now creating creature like a Gears of War style.(However, I'm not nice so far. )

    Hey,
    I think an RPG creature pack would sell well. I have a zombie pack in the assetstore, and on some months it has 10+ sales. The main work here is that since each creature is different, you have to animate them all differently, so they cannot share animations (my zombies all have the same animations, no matter if they are fat, or woman, or anything). Also I am making a creature pack too, but very slowly, and more of that "cartoony" style.

    Yes, animation is heavy work for me.
    If a model with animation in 30$ without animation is 20$, which do you buy?

    I never buy a character model without a proper animation set. You should have at least a basic set with idle, move, attack, get-hit, and death animation clips.

    The 30$ animated one. Even if the difference is 10$-50$, still the animated one. Most people here (or anywhere) don't have the skill and software to animate a character, so un-animated characters are kida useless to them. Yes in theory they might buy it, then outsource the animation, but why bother if you can buy an animated one instead.

    Love the details on your sculpting, just keep in mind that game models are typically restricted on polycount. You need to keep that in mind when making these models. Details that I see would typically come from bump maps and texturing. Just my 2 cents and a friendly advance warning.

    Export Zbrush to Unity.
    Body parts is retopology error not import to unity.
    It is under investigation now.

    The body parts was able to be imported :D
    I started paint the creature.
    Add more color detail to the foot parts.

    Very good work and for free. Thank you.

    What I often miss at the models in the asset store is a wireframe/topology map, the bone count (maybe a map of how the bones are placed) and of course you should mention the polycount.

    Your model is free so problem at all, I can find out by myself.
    But if I buy assets I want to know exactly what I get. If you going to sell models please provide these informations.

    Good luck with your models in the assetstore

    Looks really good. If you could focus on low poly models with very basic animations (idle, walk, simple attack) I'd buy them individually or as a pack. Any kind of fantasy model, some as "fillers" that are low poly to enhance my "boss" encounters. Probably a lot easier to make than doing complex boss mobs. Can be less quality than your free model if the price is right, just need stuff to fill in that looks decent and can move + swing.

    I am going to begin to make a creature model, after making some particle assets.
    My another effects thread
    I want to make realistic style creature.(not cartoon style)
    I am going to divide into some categories and to make a creature pack.
    (DemonPack, BugsPack, BeastPack, and more.)

    Because the Cave worm is free, does that mean I could use it in a game of mine? I would list as full credit as I could in the game notes.

    I want to release this asset.
    But new character animation system (call for Mecanim) in Unity 4.
    I'm not understand for Mecanim. I may create animation using Mecanim.
    I may release, after waiting for Unity4.
    When does Unity4 come out?

    Is it possible for you to make a scary doll that looks like the girl from Ring or Grudge? Basically the whole dark hair light skin, but horror looking most important. It could go in the dark creatures category. Would be scary if it held a knife and had stabbing animation with other basic animations. I think it would sell, anyone else agree with me?
