An [X] at the top right corner of each panel to close it

    Each pane/panel in the editor should have a clickable [X] in the top right bar (where you can select the type of contents for the panel) so that you can get rid of the panel if you don't want it anymore.

    EDIT -- Never mind, I found the "Join" command finally.
