    DISSOLVE SHADERS PACK

The shaders in the pack have customizable controls in the Inspector, and can be easily customized in the run-time via script.

Includes several scripts for creating gameplay using those shaders, such as
    - DissolveOnClick(used to dissolve objects when clicking on them)
    - DissolveOnCollision (used to dissolve objects on collision with projectiles)

    and others!

    6 dissolve patterns included!

Get a look of the shaders in action here:
    [- LINK WORKING NOW -]
    DissolveOnClick

    Here are some pics:

    DissolveTextureChange shader

You can find it on the Assets Store here, for 30$!

Emulating Shader Model 2 in my the Unity3D scene works just the same, everything under Shader Model 2 doesn't.

No video or demo, how is different from the free script in wiki?

Ill post a demo as soon as possible.

But the difference is the support for normal, ramp, rim and specular mapping, and mainly customizable emission colors for the dissolve effect.

    Thanks for your interest!

Right now I have a problem with my computer, but I will post an update for the package really soon and I will also test it on Android for performance. Stay tuned!

Okay then, Ill make a test on a medium-specs Android mobile phone, just to be sure about it, and Ill tell you the results, as soon as possible.

    Thanks a lot!

    Haha no problem!

I will send the new version of the pack for submission and post here how well it works under Android in the next few hours!

Submitted the package with new features such as

    - a bit of optimization which actually gives great results and performance even on lower-specs Android phones(tested it on HTC Explorer)

    - scripts for creating gameplay using this package(including example scenes for them and documentation on how to use them!)
    - DissolveOnClick(used to dissolve objects when clicking on them)
    - DissolveOnCollision(used to dissolve objects on collision with projectiles or other such objects)

    - also the price is now 10$ and this is how it will stay, since I am planning to add more content to this package

    Planning to add:
    - patters for the dissolve effect
    - particle emission
    - tweak the existing content and add more options to the scripts

    Thanks a lot!

A bit of tech info on the package: I could've created one single shader to handle all the effects(dissolve effect, specularity, normal mapping and rim light) instead of creating a shader for each one, and that would have been no problem for a computer, but since there are a lot of people that want to use those shaders on a mobile project(myself included), I thought it would be better for the performance to have multiple shaders and use each when needed, so the mobile device computes only what is needed to compute, not the whole shader, so much less.

Thats why you will probably get(depending on the device used, I used HTC Explorer, which is not such a great specs mobile, and got excellent results) great performance on mobile using those shaders.

Also I am now working on dissolve patterns and improve and add more options to the scripts provided, which will allow you to go deeper into customizing the effect, with no much effort.

    Stay tuned! Thanks!

    - added three(more to come!) basic dissolve patterns which can be tested in the demo bellow(from left to right: Uniform, DownUp and Radial):

    http://andrewsassets.comze.com/Demos/DissolveShadersPack/Patterns Dissolve/WebPlayer.html

    - added support for pattern dissolve choosing for the DissolveOnClick and DissolveOnCollision

    - changed the scripting for a proper and smooth scripted dissolve effect

Sent the package for submission, it's going to be up soon!

    Thanks!

Forgot to mention, the culling is turned off on all the shaders now, so the backfaces of the objects are visible!

The price of the pack is again 10$ instead of 15, still included everything mentioned before, 5 dissolve shader and 2 extra shaders, 2 scripts for creating gameplay using them and 3 dissolve patterns!
