Blender texturing?

can someone help find a pretty good tutorial on adding a texture to a 3D model, as i am making a path (path stones) and i need to add a rocky texture to them, but not used to this new blender 2.62 only used 2.49b but i wanna get into it

 

you have to uv map your model, then aply texture its easy, wath this:
