It's around that time again, fellas! We're getting ready for this years Unite and so should you. Unite 12 will be held in Amsterdam, Holland from August 22nd to 24th - with Training Day taking place on the 21st. For more information and to book your ticket see http://unity3d.com/unite/. We look forward to seeing you there!
Ticket bought ... yeeeha! Only one little not-so-cool thing: As I have entered my VAT-ID, I should not have had to pay the 25% VAT, so maybe Eventbrite isn't that great (this is the first time ever that the VAT wasn't automatically removed after I entered my VAT-ID). This is especially weird as it said "European Purchases", and in the EU, removing the VAT via entering the VAT-ID (and entering the reverse charge process) is quite common. Anyways, this is my first Unite since 2009, so I'm really happy
I was wondering; do you need volunteers? I'm available for august 21. August 22, 23 and 24 I'll be participating!
is it sold out already? Eventbrite show quantity of the conference as N/A... Edit: Ahhh ignore me... there's the Early Bird, doh!
This time I have to go. But can someone tell me what I get for the early bird tickets? Does this ticket include the training day?
Yeah, I'm also trying to figure out whether 'Early bird registration' and 'Developer conference' are actually the same thing, with the training day being separate, whether these are 3 separate costs or... something else.
I'm no Unity representative, but... Unity Developer Conference is Unite 12 proper, for $400 plus fee; Early Bird Registration is Unite 12 discounted, for $340 plus fee, discounted 15% as mentioned on the Unite page; Unity Training Day is a separate one day event, for $100 plus fee.
I eventually got through to Unity today to ask the question so patiently awaiting the official response. Thanks Jasper!
I am also curious about hotels. Also, are there any attendees who would be interested in forming a small group for the conference? I have never been to the Netherlands or even a Unite conference for that matter.
Note that the Unite page has a travel page which includes hotel recommendations and special deals: http://unity3d.com/unite/travel
Woo im excited about this. Im not sure I can afford a hotel being self employed  Anyone planning to stay in a hostel? Ive not booked my accommodation yet...im going on my own so it would be cool to stay somewhere other unite goers are!
We are dutch and we are also attend, we stay at the Amstel Hotel where lady Gaga, Madonna etc stays when they are in Holland. Normally we go on a trip to the Unite so we thought we can book a classy Hotel, see you there !!
Anyone else staying at the Mövenpick hotel? I'm ready for some late-night unity talk in the hotel lounge . Btw, Is there some way we could show ongoing projects to the union team during unite? Cheers, Dirk - kaaJ
I'm coming to unite! First conference in years and I am super excited for all the talks, particularly the new features of unity4 and the programming talks!
Finally a Unite that is not falling right into my release crunch time! Not sure if I'll be staying at the Mövenpick but definitely up for late-night unity talks.
Looking forward to see that many cool guys there anyone who always wanted to get rid of his good or bad feelings about me will have his chance there Unluckily I booked my trip months before UT sent out their mail, before even the information on the special deal were around, so I'm not in one of the hotels they got a deal with.
Hey everyone, I'll be attending Unite this year in Amsterdam, and was wondering whether anyone knows of any parties/events going on? I'll be arriving on Monday, and was hoping that there might be some pre-Unite events already happening. Would love to know
A nice printer friendly pdf of the session tables would be ace! Want to plan my itinerary to the T to get optimum knowledge!
Various community people usually organise something on the other days of the conference (other as in not on the day of the main party).
