Hi everybody! This is my first post on the unity forums so I thought I would show you guys some of the awesome stuff the studio I work for has been cranking out.

The studio is called City State Entertainment and was founded by Mark Jacobs (Dark Age of Camelot, Warhammer Online) and Andrew Meggs ( Skyrim, Warhammer Online). We have some teasers of our upcoming game, and I will update this thread as more come out.

Here is our website, you can download wallpaper versions of all of these.

And check us out on facebook.

    Edit: First Gameplay Preview Released!

They just keep coming! Here we changed things up a bit. So Far we have shown you characters from one of the factions in our game, here is a character from a different one! He believes in peace, love and wielding a mean ‘murse.’

We have mentioned the eventual PC release on our website based on demand, if we do go PC we will probably also have a Mac release at the same time, as Unity makes it fairly easy.

As we get closer to truly beginning our journey through the Worlds of Oz, here’s the first cover of what we hope are many covers that our games receive. Courtesy of Indie Game Magazine and our terrific team of artists, I’m proud to present the first March On Oz cover. So, mucho thanks to Chris Priestman and the folks at IGM for giving our game and our studio some early coverage.

I think the art team you guys have is very talented and the game has some very nice visuals, however, I feel that these screenshots do not do the game justice. I feel the main problem is that everything (background, characters, foreground, etc) are all the SAME vivid and bright colors/hues, which is making everything look the same and making the actual area of play hard to distinguish. I also think that by signifying importance based on vivid colors/bright colors would make the game look a lot better.

Here’s a 360° look at some of our ‘all natural’ units from March On Oz™ including the Nay Palm Tree, Clock Tree, Gun Tree and Sticky Bun Tree. And since even trees can’t spring forth from the Worlds of Oz™ fully formed, we have also found some photos from their Yearling Books and included them as well. Enjoy!

    See The 360 Trees Here!

Today’s share of the day is a composite shot of our avatar creator and some examples of avatars that our folks are using while they play March on Oz™. Crunch is now winding down, even in the face of loss of power, weird building smells, July 4th and other distractions and we are looking to ship this to Apple very shortly.

Next week, crunch ends (we hope) and we begin posting videos from our game.

Totally agree. For me, most of the screen shots look like they are photoshopped together just for the mere fact that it looks like the entire game takes place on one layer. There is no depth, and the objects in the back are just as vibrant as those in the front. The characters get totally lost in all the color. I mean, there is colorful UI, colorful characters, colorful foreground, colorful background. There needs to be a priority and somewhere for the eye to focus
