Twitter & Other Social Media

I'm wondering how many people here use Twitter? I've had an account for a while, but just started to use it more regularly.

I have to admit I'm still figuring out how it could be used best, but it already seems to be a nice way to learn about random things that happen and I even (re)connected with a few people because of it.

So anyway, I'm attilam, feel free to add me

 

I just can't get myself to use it. One more thing to be a bit obsessive about.

 

I have an account but didn't use it very much (forgot I had one actually )
I'll try to use it more often now (and will talk in English in stead of Dutch now )

I've had one for a while, but I don't seem to have much use for it. I try and stay active, but I find most of my updates would usually consist of "Working..." and then later in the day "Still working..." :?

 

I use Twitterific, which makes it much more like AIM... without the "instant" or "AOL" parts.

 

I use it as I have a few friends that are regular and keep me posted about their activity. I think Plurk is cooler but not so easy to update.

I use netvibes interface online to update and now twitterific on iPhone.

 

Maybe Ping.fm is an easy tool to organize your social networks...

Wow, cool ... since it became kind of difficult to actually follow all the people I'm following, I set up Thunderbird to fetch the tweets via RSS and created a couple of different groups. One, of course, is "Unity" - and I've got 13 Unity-twitterers in there.

That's a hilarious statement because it's true!

 

Beets, orange rinds, black olives, raisins, feta cheese, and just for fun let's throw some sesame seeds on top of that over a bed of couscous

Maybe my palette needs to evolve a little bit more to truly appreciate this fine Danish cuisine

Is it still from the same place? I was mostly impressed by the variety of food. (and now this thread has become about eating habits in Unity HQ... the mention of Twitter alone causes conversation to break down even in other places.

 

Yeah, some people even start treating blog-comments chat.

Um, sorry "blog-comments >>like<< chat" (with some it's even so bad they forget they could edit while they're still writing a posting).

... guess my brains are already fried - my max attention span is about 30 seconds now [checks last 200 new tweets "real quick"]. Um, what was I talking about??? But anyways, I'll integrate Twitter into my game to do something really useful with it, hehe (actually, my plans are more integrating my game into Twitter but that's a secret, so don't talk about it) ;-)
