[UNITY] Now on Skype

Good day fellow unity users,

This skype channel has been created as an easy, and quick way to meet new people, find collaborations, sell your services or ask for help.*

We have set up a skype channel as an alternative to the IRC channel. if you wish to join there are a few things to note.


To join the Skype chat simply add one of the following on skype with code 'UNITY' in the friend request:

Once in the chat, you will be asked to set your notification settings to contain the following:
[report] - use this command to report a user if they are violating the rules
[help] - use this command if you are in need of assistance with any unity related issues.
[collaboration] - use this command if you are collaborating a post, link to the thread and say what you are looking for.
[paid] - use this command if you are looking for a freelancer or sole trader for hire.
[lfw] - use this command if you are looking for work, paid or unpaid.
[advice] - use this command if asking for advice on a general topic.
[showcase] - use this command if you are showcasing your work
your name - if anyone speaks to you directly you will be notified
Discussion - talking about Unity or game development subjects? spark up a discussion with this tag.

paste this code into your notification settings for the group chat and replace yourname with yourname

'Conversation->Notification Settings->paste into the box and select "notify me only when these words are mentioned:"'

This system will allow the skype chat to notify the users when something important has been said, if the message does not contain a tag your system will not recieve a sound and therefor not distract you. we hope to see you online soon, please respect the chat room and enjoy yourself!

The breaking of any rules will lead to a permanent ban from the Skype chat, if you feel you were wronged you can justify joining again by emailing Charlie.samways@molecube.ca with your case.

Challenge Accepted. I wish. It's a personal goal of mine to create a Unity Bar and Grill website. So we would have more possibilities. But to be integrated into Unity, wow never thought of that.

If you get the site up, ill happily do the modelling and gather the people needed for the programming ect ect. easy stuff, But I wouldn't plan on it till something is up and looking polished.

I can help with the design, but we'll need to get somebody who actually knows what they're doing to program it.

More of an IRC, with a back drop. No characters or anything, And I agree, skype is fine until I see some potential in expanding.

To be honest, the reason I created the group in the first place was for the sole purpose of using Skype specifically. Otherwise I'd have joined the IRC.
