Nice but you should mirror the textures on the first one.

I know, I planned some bodyparts and different paintjobs as well, with numbers etc.. So mirroring it wouldn't really go well :p

    HeliQoob updated to Chopper Mike!

Spent far too long today wondering why Mike was so dark... recoding shaders... swearing... then the sudden realisation that he wasn't in my 'NoShadow' layer...!!

    Click pic for video...

I'll add some 'game' to it as soon as I can.

Just uploaded a new update video of my survival sandbox game:

I recommend watching it in 720p with a bigger screen ;)

That's awesome! Also, how large is the terrain?

Is that made with the Unity terrain or did you use an external program?

Thanks :) Glad you like it

Its 8000 x 8000m and uses unitys terrain system.
The heightmap was done with geocontrol2
I've modified the splat map via Syanyde's "terrain edge".
Great tool btw :D A couple uf bugs but still lots of great features.

    Thanks a lot Little Angel ! :)

Runs quiete nice. I guess thats the lack of NORMAL MAPS ON TERRAINS !!! :p

srsly, Unitys terrain is very scaleable. Especially with its dynamic tesselation. I've got most of the information in my "single lightmaps" Ambient Occlusion, GI, LightShadow etc...this way it doesn't hurt to switch to a lower poly density. The realtime shadow range is pretty short as well.
Just 1 splat map, 4 Textures, no tri-planar or normal hacks.
There's lots of post processing going on but I guess the only bottleneck is the quality ssao, which is needed to visually glue the grass to the ground.

Except the road and soldier, there are currently no other meshes/shaders in the scene so its hard to compare it with other titles.
    Right now I'm around 50fps in 1600x1200 4xmultisampling on a gtx460.

Added pickups and a landing zone! Also relaxed the steering force a bit as small movements meant you were always prodding the screen directly over Mike, which just ain't cool!

Progress will be reduced this week as lots of stuff going on... best man at a wedding on Saturday!!

Ha have not been on here for a while. So I thought I might as well post something I worked on and made it in a matter of minutes.

Would possibly like feedback if possible.

    Feedback on what, exactly?

You've spelled modeler wrong, if that's what you mean?

This looks really nice. And I don't know if those lines on the screen are due to the camera or they're actual part of the game design, but I like them :)

LOL! Yeah man, start by fixing that. Why do you want feedback on something you've made in a few minutes?

Boards look great for something you made so quick, btw. I see a lot of dark unused space, is that where your sample of your work images will go?

Your name isn't parallel to the board is standing on.

Keep working on it, add more detail. How about use images of concept your work, drawings, maybe sketches and concept art you've made, and have it laying around like it's real paper! Make it to cover the unused space a bit, so it's a little more interesting, have it overlap a bit with the lit area! I'd love to see that!

The lines are a product of screens and camera unfortunately, because yeah, they look way cool :)

Just tried it out through TV out... nice! Unity is so amazing awesome. It just works all over the place! :D

It's not very clear what it's for. Some wooden planks with a texture on them...

If it's for a folio, it's a huge header image.

Yeah. I thought about it for a second but it's not even my own mesh or concept anyway.
I'm still new to unity so I used it for some lightmapping and deferred tests. Own stuff is on the way :)

    haha :D

Currently working on a small endless flyer. You're a small bird, forgotten by your flock which flew south because of the upcoming winter.
You have to catch up with the other ones, by growing your bird, upgrading it, and flying as far as you can!

Made a quick video of my game
    VIDEO (7/22/12)
It shows off gameplay concepts. Some graphical glitches are present, some envisioned features are not yet implemented, and some numbers need to be tweaked for optimal gameplay, but the core concepts are here in this video

Looking good man, It's just the wheels that bug me..
I guess they are for testing purposes only, try using normal maps and such on the wheels and other bits, for extra details and less polys :v
You can use this wheel for testing if you want, just credit me.
