3D Simulation of a n experimental project of a solar photovoltaic field in Italy (Sardinia Island).

    - 3D terrain (no unity terrain) realized from aerophotogrammetric cartography.
    - 3D Buildings and structures realized from tecnical/projectual cad material.
    - 3D models placed and dropped on the ground (except buildings and not repetitive objects) with EasyRoads3D (over 600 markers!):
Trees, bushes, light poles, concentrator solar pannels, fixed solar pannels rows (procedurally created ), all walls and fences (procedurally created ).
    - Terrain, roads and gardens painting done with Terrain 4 Mobile (Terrain splitted to add more texture).

    Any feedback is welcome!

    WebPlayer (13Mb)
    Resizable
    Embedded.

    - Left Mouse button(or ctrl key) : Set destination.
    - Right Mouse button(or alt key) : Orbit
    - Mouse wheel: Zoom
    - Spacebar: double speed
    - "i" button to show "info labels"
    - "f" button to show fps

(at near the main buildings, I had some white plane flickering, instead of the grass..)

@mgear: The main office building, in front of the windows(1.5 meter) have a fixed window blinds. Do you mean this? thanks for feedback!

@Yusuf AKDAG: the site is online! (tested now) ... thanks to report this issue! I'll investigate with the hosting provider!

Another lovely project, well done! Runs surprisingly fast on my old Macbook Pro considering how many solar panels are in the scene.

thanks bigkahuna, your opinion is very appreciated. I did spend much time to optimize the size and the performance.

I found that in some old PC with old ATI cards(shader2) there is no cubemap reflection ( very much evident in the solar panel fields) Did anyone you saw this?.

In one computer this happens, but then on other computer it works fine..
(depending on the viewing angle, the grass plane becomes white and/or flickering as if there was 2 different planes..)

@ mgear: strange issue because the grassland have the Terrain4Mobile shader ( 4 texture simple) as the roads and all ground gameobjects!
Can you post the graphic card model of the pc?. thanks!

Woooah.. amazing VIZ. !!! Your clients will be happy. Navigation is very easy and the graphic quality is excellent. May be a bit too much fog, it should look more like haze rather than fog.

    Congrats!!!!

Thanks Pulov for your compliments and useful tips.
Yes you are right, the fog is too strong and I did try to minimize it but i must hide the near background becouse in the real word ther are other structure (not presents in this simulation) that could make unreal this simulation. I did make choise with a minor impact to the realism (the fog or haze are real in a few atmospherical conditions ;) )
    Thanks again

    max

Hi mgear, have you got the ability to make a new test to verify the issue!
    Thanks

    Max

    Note:
Spacebar: switch from T4M Shader (used) to standard Diffuse shader
    L: Switch from Lightmap/Dynamic lighting

Didnt have any problems there, with any of the settings.

And now that I tried the original link ( http://www.sjmtech.net/trasferimenti/SolarField/SolarField.html )
there was no flickering there either. (have you updated it?)

Or maybe updating the display drivers has helped.

thanks!.... it's a good news ... probably updating the display drivers has fixed the issue.
Another user (Don Gray) with the same graphic card did notice the same issue also in this Thread. (what versioin of driver you have?)

looks like same driver version, didnt have any problems with the mining complex either..

*edit: Tried also with old driver version 280.26, no problems with any of the players..(solarfield, mining, test)..
