Free Unity Prefabs, Sounds Textures

So I was wondering, if you are like myself and pretty new to game design then you might not want to fork out your cash for unity assets.

Im pretty sure there are places for free assets around the internet, but where :O ? What websites do some of you guys use ?

For sounds ive been using freesound.org, for textures its been cgtextures.com and for prefabs ect I havent found one . Been looking around for free rain prefabs, water ect for a little while and couldn't find any.

 

you may have more luck in searching for free 3d models- those can than be imported directly by unity or exported to a format that can be imported

 

Anywhere to find particle systems for free ?

They have a few free assets available there. Also, there are several assets in the tutorial projects that you can reuse.

www.shareCG.com has an unrestricted use license for many of their freebies. You just have to limit your search to show only those with that license. A lot of their stuff is for Poser but poser uses .obj as the base for all their figures and models so you can easily strip the .obj out and use them. They also have a large collection of non-poser models and textures.
