Congrats to the winners (and the not-so-winners) but most of all to Matt Diamond for representing Unity with Pawns!

2nd place ain't too shabby!

I like all the winning games. If any of you haven't checked these games out, I'd go for it. They are all relatively simple, but because of the diversity in game type everyone is bound to find something they like.

I'm a little surprised N-Ball didn't place in there, but it was tough competition at the top.

Thanks, all. I'm very pleased that I did so well. Hopefully Escort Wing beat Pawns by a large enough margin that I won't forever wonder what I could have done differently. Smile

I got plenty of help from both OTEE and the Unity community (i.e. some of you reading this.) I was thus able to wrap my arms around this new tool in a very short amount of time. Unity and the community were what made the 6-week deadline attainable- thanks!

Congrats Bampf!!! I have no idea how this was judged, but on the playability factor you beat out everyone in my book. If Escort Wing won it's superficially about the graphics which is too bad... I don't think the gameplay was all that great. Was your final entry a lot different than the intial entry. If so I definitely have to play it again... Really fun and original!

Thanks for the kind words! Personally I didn't think I'd beat Escort Wing, but I also thought N-Ball and Traktor would probably beat me too. So I'm thrilled to be where I ended up. Pakimono was a wild card- highly original, and easily the game must fun to describe to someone else. Just imagine if they'd spent two weekends on it instead of one. Smile So I didn't know where that would end up. I was pretty sure MacBournes would be last, though I note that one of the judges scored it higher than any other game. Computerized card games are easy to underestimate, I guess.

The version of Pawns you played was mostly the version that the judges saw. Rocco Bowling volunteered himself to improve my artwork, and I spent a week on little polish items, so the game's presentation improved. Worth a download if you don't have version 1.0.8 yet.. But it's still not very flashy- probably doesn't do Unity much justice in that regard, though there's lots of other reasons to use Unity. Oh, and I made puzzle 9 a little easier. Smile
